This is a stone monument in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Eco Plaza, about a 10-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station. It is said that Yukichi Fukuzawa's cram school was in this Shiba Shinsenza for four years until it moved from Tsukiji Tepposu to Mita's current location in 1868.
It is a monument beside the entrance of the building, about between Shinbashi and Hamamatsucho. To commemorate the fact that Yukichi Fukuzawa operated Keio University and Makoto Kondo operated Kodamasha here by her husband 々.
I found this monument when I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel and walked toward Hamamatsucho Station. This monument indicates that Yukichi Fukuzawa has moved Keio University, which was raised in Tsukiji, to this place. Furthermore, after moving Keio University to Mita, Makoto Kondo opened Kodamasha at this place. I was able to feel the history very much in an casual place.
I walked from Hamamatsucho Station and headed for Minato-ku Eco Plaza and headed for the back street near the JR track. There is a short horizontal stone monument near the entrance and exit of Eco Plaza, and when I approached and checked it, this was the monument of the Ryoo Gakujuku I was looking for. It felt like it was installed in a narrow planting, and I didn't get the impression that it was very cherished. The surrounding buildings, including Eco Plaza, seem to have been redeveloped and built on the site of the elementary school, and at the time of the previous elementary school, it still feels like a school site ...

Fukushi Kondo, Yuweng, learnt and learned ♪
I stopped by while taking a walk. There is only a signboard with an explanation, so it wasn't a tourist spot to go all the way.
We're heading for Minato City Eco Plaza.
