I visited when I took a walk around the land related to literary masters around Kikuzaka. Heading south from Kikuzaka and climbing a slightly steep coal cluster slope, but now there is only an explanation board left, and it is a city landscape.

This is the place where Shoyo Tsubouchi lived for several years from 1897. It's on the right side of the coal dam, but it may be easier to understand if you come from the Masasa Central Library and Bunkyo Furusato History Museum on the other side. Currently, there is an ordinary condominium and only a signboard. There was nothing to see in particular.

I went to see it when I learned that there is a historic site related to Tsubouchi Shoyo near the Bunkyo Ward Masasa Central Library. However, there was only an explanation board and there was no building. I'm glad I stopped by while going to the library, but it was a place that was not enough to visit to remember those days.
