I was there for my older brother's celebration of life. The beach is perfect. Permits are required in order to pitch a tent.

Beautiful Place
If you are lucky you will get parking its super beautiful. But don't leave anything in your car anywhere in hawaii & there are bathrooms. Its a spiritually magical place :D
