Original Text
An old stone monument built in the back of a fence near the stone wall of Wakayama Castle Oikaimon. It is engraved with a monument of Shinchu and an old letter. There is also an inscription saying that it should be moved nearby. At the end of the Edo period in 1867, Zenzo Tanaka, the reformist of the Kishu domain and the head of the Okuu brush group, was assassinated by a conservative feudal retainer at the Okaimon gate. Despite the historical background, he has been named as a stone monument as a loyal and sincere person.
