Shuimo Shanghe

The Ink and Wash Shanghe Attraction is located in Shanghe Village, Qiukou Town, Wuyuan County, only 8 kilometers away from the county seat and the high-speed railway station, with a history of more than 920 years. "Ancient trees and high and low houses, setting sun and distant and near mountains; smoke like a belt at the top of the forest, water like a ring outside the village." This ancient poem depicts the true portrayal of the Ink and Wash Shanghe. "The clear water flows westward, the sails of the Guiting Pavilion, the ancient springs under the shade of camphor trees, the green of the Ming Valley, the pillows and stones, the sound of Shanghe books, the shimmering inkstone lake, the clear shadows of the pavilions and bridges, and the clouds reflecting the Wenfeng" are known as the "Ten Scenes of Shanghe".

Walking into the ink-and-wash Shanghe River, the love of the covered bridge accompanies the long flow of clear water, the "Little Nanjing" pier tastes the changes of time, the Guixin Pavilion releases the lovesickness, the Huirao Ancient Road feels the "Fang Po's Legacy", the Ming and Qing Ancient Streets experience the folk customs, the former residences of Hui merchants witness the legend of getting rich, the Shanghe Academy teaches the imperial examination culture, the Yingchi Lanes chew folk stories, and the ancient house B&Bs appreciate the Shanghe people... Climb to the top of Wenfeng Tower, and you can see the lake and mountains. The distant mountains are like dark blue, quiet and elegant, the Yan Lake is shimmering, the pavilions and bridges are clear, the clouds, the setting sun, the smoke, the green bamboo, the green cypress, the red maple, the pink walls, the black tiles, and the flying eaves are settled between the skylight and the shadows of the clouds, just like a beautiful painting with light ink.
