"Pinghan Railway Museum Project Introduction
As a cultural heritage of China's modern railway industry, the Jigongshan section of the Pinghan (Beijing-Guangzhou) Railway has extremely precious historical, industrial and tourism values. The Jigongshan Management District has made full use of tourism resources to enrich and improve the connotation of the tourism industry. It has restored the abandoned Jigongshan section of the Pinghan Railway, opened the Pinghan Railway Museum, and opened old train tours in the Attraction. After unremitting efforts, the tourist railway station and the railway museum are currently being accelerated and repaired, and the sightseeing train has been put into operation. The construction of these projects has kicked off a new round of development in Jigongshan, adding a new scene to the plan to build the Jigongshan Attraction into a 5A Attraction.
The Pinghan Railway was built in 1898 and officially opened to traffic in 1902. After the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway from Xinyang to Chenjiahe, Hubei was straightened in 2005, the 16-kilometer original railway line in Jigong Mountain was discontinued in April 2007. After consultation between Xinyang City and Wuhan Railway Bureau, the 16-kilometer abandoned railway line and its ancillary facilities such as stations were handed over to the Xinyang Municipal Government for management and development as a historical and cultural tourist Attraction.
The starting station of the Jigong Mountain Pinghan Railway Old Train is next to the Bolden Forest Park, and the end point is the Pinghan Railway Museum (Wushengguan Station) (the project is currently being implemented, and the Jigong Mountain Evian Forest Hot Spring is temporarily the end point). The entire line is 9.407 kilometers long. Relying on the visitor center, the Pinghan Railway Old Train can connect the sightseeing projects along the way, such as the Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, Bolden Forest Park, Pengjiagou Farmhouse, International Slow City, Jigong Mountain Scenic Area, Evian Forest Hot Spring, Pinghan Railway Museum and other Attraction, using the advantages of transportation to connect the entire line to form a whole tourist attraction.
Lijiazhai Station, Mancheng Station, and Wenquan Station will be fully operational as of May 1, 2016. The main building of the Pinghan Railway Museum (Wushengguan Station) has been completed, and further supporting construction work is underway.
Pinghan Railway, Hankou to Beiping train, began to be built in 1906, 30 km/hour, suitable for the elderly, parents and children, relatively slow, Lijiazhai to the entrance of Jigong Mountain Scenic Area, about 30 minutes, about 10 kilometers, rest 20 minutes After returning, we only picked up the bus up the mountain in a hurry. The overall child felt good. The car we sat in did not have any explanation. Only a few posters recorded the railway and train. At that time, some historical events were recorded. It's a pity that many people took one ride and missed the opportunity to understand history.
Adults are a little boring.
大人有点无聊
体验很好,因为速度慢,个人觉得往返时间有点长,景色一般。天热很热,大家都把窗户打开,速度又慢,坐着很煎熬。特别是带孩子的。
