Tsūjun Bridge

Tongrun Bridge, located in Shangyicheng County, Kumamoto Prefecture, was built in 1854 by Buda Bao to save 800 villagers who suffered from water shortages. The bridge, high and long, is the largest in Japan and one of the country's important cultural wealth. Three stone water pipes were laid over the bridge to allow water to flow into the fields.
