Natural Tower

The natural tower is in the park on the Yichang River. The surrounding environment is particularly good. It is very suitable for walking the Yichang natural tower. It is a masonry-like high-rise building with a pavilion-like structure. The tower is48.3 meters high. Except for the base, the tower has a total of 7 levels. The interior and exterior planes of the towers and each floor are positive and octagon. From the second floor, each tower body is built with the same size brick to form a water wall. The tower body outline is reduced from the bottom to the top layer by layer. The tower uses the inner folding of the wall to pave the ladder stone, from the inside of the Sumi (i.e. the bottom tower room) to the top layer. The outer layers of the tower are stacked with thin bricks, and the lower layers are decorated with bricks to carve three arches. There are wind bells hanging on each side of the tower. The ground is paved with a brick "human" shape. The roof is also built with thin bricks to form an octagonal spire. The top floor of the tower is set up with a wooden column that runs straight over 30 cm, which penetrates the top floor roof and supports the top floor of the tower. The roof is centered and vertical with a variety of metal-shaped tower brakes

The natural tower is located in the ancient tower community of Baotahe Street, Wujiagang District, Yichang City. It sits in the northeast and southwest, and is an octagonal seven-level imitation pavilion-style masonry tower. The tower body covers an area of 144.24 square meters, the construction area is 472 square meters, and the tower height is 43.35 meters. It is recorded that the natural tower was built in the Jin Dynasty; it was built by the famous literary artist Guo Yuju when he lived in Yiling, and it has been repaired throughout the generations. The existing natural tower was rebuilt from the Qing Dynasty Qianlong 55 to 57 years (AD 190-1792). From December 2006 to September 2008, Yichang Municipal Government invested in the renovation. Yichang Natural Tower is located at the intersection of Yichang City along the river road and the Yiwan Railway Bridge across the Yangtze River. It stands on the riverside hill, commonly known as the "Pagoda", and a tributary nearby is also known as the Pagoda River. It is rumored that Guo Yu, a literary artist in the Jin Dynasty, was built as one of the "Eight Views of Yiling", and gradually became the city standard of the ancient city of Yiling. The existing natural tower is an ancient building rebuilt during Qing Qianlong. On October 16, 2019, the State Council announced it as the eighth batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country.

The natural tower is located on the Yanjiang Avenue in Yichang City, Hubei Province. It is one of the ancient buildings in Yichang City. Its workmanship is good, but some characters are damaged and not very complete. The tower cannot be climbed to the top at present.
