I regret not going earlier! The World's Three Great Wonders | Yingxian Wooden Pagoda!
🚗This is the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda in Shanxi
🔥It is considered one of the 'World's Three Great Wonders' along with Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower in Paris
🌲The Yingxian Wooden Pagoda was built during the Liao Dynasty (in 1056 AD), and it has been quietly waiting for your visit for 968 years.
❗️'From afar it looks like a pillar holding up the sky, up close it resembles a hundred-foot lotus.' This is the highest level of description of grandeur and beauty by the ancients, because the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is 67.31 meters tall, equivalent to the height of a 20-story building. This was considered a very tall structure in ancient times.
🌟The 'hundred-foot lotus' refers to the dougong (interlocking wooden brackets), of which the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda uses a total of 480 pieces, in 54 different styles, reaching the pinnacle of architectural achievement. The lower you go, the more complex the dougong becomes. It truly amazes us with the wisdom of our ancestors.
📍Navigation: Yingxian Wooden Pagoda.
🧷If you are bringing elderly or children, you can navigate to the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda ticket office. Let the elderly and children get off the car first, then go to park nearby.
🎫Ticket price: 50 RMB per person
⌛️Visiting time: about 1-2 hours
🚶Currently, only the first floor of the wooden pagoda is open to the public, which houses an 11-meter-tall statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.
👀Visitors can appreciate the plaques, of which 54 are still in existence. And also the astonishing dougong.
📷About my favorite photo spots:
1️⃣In the west square of the pagoda, stand a bit further from the pagoda to capture a person looking at it, a dialogue that spans a thousand years.
2️⃣Walk around the pagoda to the 'Little Western Heaven', use the wide-angle mode of your phone, squat down and shoot through the doorway of 'Little Western Heaven' to capture the pagoda, the perspective effect is very cinematic.
3️⃣To capture the plaques and dougong, you need to use a telephoto lens to get the effect.
📣Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is about 1 hour away from Datong city center. You can visit them together. 🌟Nearby attractions include Jingtusi Temple, Hanging Temple, Yungang Grottoes, and more.
One of the three major chitas in the world, Yingxian wooden tower, no nails, no squats, after the wind and rain, stands so far, and the pillar will move and will be lazy, there will be one off the ground every day, today it is the turn to rest in the lazy ~
Yingxian wooden tower was built during the Liaoguo period. There are no nails and wooden structures. It is not easy to keep it intact so far. The tower is quite spiritual, there are many birds flying around, and it is worth a visit for those who like ancient buildings.
The Shijia Tower of the Muta Buddha Palace Temple in Yingxian County, Pizza Leaning Tower in China (Pagoda of Fogong Temple), also known as the Muta of Yingxian County, is located in Yingxian Buddha Palace Temple in Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It was built in Liaoqingning for two years (1056). It is the world's largest and oldest pure wooden structure pavilion-style building. It is called the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the "three chitches of the world".

At 7:30 in the morning, take a direct train to Yingxian Muta in Datong Ancient City and Yangmen Square. Arrive at 8:45. The car is parked at the east gate of the scenic spot. The south gate is the main entrance of the scenic spot. After getting off the bus, pass the Jingtu Temple and walk through a commercial area, and you will arrive at Yingxian Muta. The gem of ancient architecture is worth seeing. The scenic spot is not big, just this tower.
Accompanying my parents, I came out of the hanging temple and ran for dozens of kilometers, but it was worth it. This tower was built in Northern Wei, all wooden structures, without a nail, now a little tilted, there are many birds flying in and out.
Yingxian wooden tower is really the gem of my Greater China, more than 60 meters high, after so many earthquakes, still standing, showing the simplicity and incomparable wooden structure. The tour guide originally asked us to take a photo at the door, but I think it is more shocking to watch up close. I strongly suggest that you can buy a ticket if you are not in a hurry. These ancient buildings are really a look at a glance. The 50 yuan ticket right and for the protection and repair of ancient buildings. A little bit of a modest contribution.
