The former name of Cold Water Beach Christianity in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, is part of the Lingling Lian District of Hunan Church of the Methodist Church of China. The Methodist Church was founded by British Wesley in 1744, and in July 1903, the British ancient Yongfu and Chinese Li Jietai, Li Shangzhi and others introduced to Lingling and Cold Water Beach, and initially rented a house to preach the gospel. In 1904, Hunan Christian Diocese was officially established and a joint district was established in Lingling. Subsequently, parishes (also known as branch churches) were established in Lingling County, Shiqi Station, Jiashichong, plum trees and cold water beaches, and churches were built in the five parishes to carry out religious activities and church services.
