A city once called "Guangzhou Bay" should not be forgotten. The former site of the French Minister of Guangzhou Bay is opposite the seaside park on Guanhai Road. Built in 1903, the French design, two floors, the top floor is a viewing platform, there is a basement, the building is beige facade. Originally used by the French, after Japan occupied Zhanjiang in 1943, the Japanese military department was set up here and the victory of the Anti-Japanese War was recovered. Now it is a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. The second floor is the exhibition room, which introduces the history of Zhanjiang area in a comprehensive way. There are various cultural relics, reflecting the social state of the French and Japanese era, as well as some local folk customs. Now free to visit, it is a patriotic education base.
