I recommend visiting the Zhanjiang Museum, which, although not large, is housed in a building from the 1960s. Admission to the museum is free, and in the backyard, there is a fine display of bonsai art by Master Li Shisong. Some of the bonsai have been maintained for decades and are truly impressive!
