Lianziya Scenic Area

Lianzi Cliff is located on the south bank of Xiling Gorge of the Yangtze River in Quyuan Town, Yichang, standing between Bingshu Baojian Gorge and Niu Gan Ma Fei Gorge. The mountain is full of cracks. According to the "Guizhou Chronicles·Shanshui", here: "The stone wall in the south of the gorge is bent in the middle, five feet wide. It is said that there is a divine power to lock it, which has not fallen for a long time, so it is called Lock Mountain." Later, it was renamed Lianzi Cliff based on "Chain Lock Cliff". Lianzi Cliff has towering rocks, tall peaks, towering cliffs, and rugged rocks. Looking up, the dangerous rocks reach the sky and the cracks are gloomy. There are 2.5 million cubic meters of broken rocks on the cliff from Monkey Slope to Shaojiwa and Leipishi. Looking up at Lianzi Cliff from below, you can see criss-crossing cracks. The largest crack at the top is 6 to 7 meters wide and more than 100 meters deep, giving people a sense of crumbling. Some people compare it to a sword of Damocles hanging high over Bingshu Baojian Gorge. The ancient village of Lianziya still exists on the cliff, with more than 30 households of almost the same family, primitive and simple. The iron chain on the cliff is the way to go up and down the mountain, and if you are not careful, you will die at the bottom of the cliff.
