Yu Mausoleum

Yuling is the joint burial tomb of Qianlong and his two queens and three queens, and is the most worth seeing emperor's tomb in the Qing Dongling. The ground building is highly regulated, second only to the Shouling Xiaoling (obviously higher than his grandfather Kangxi Jingling), and the luxury of the Land Palace is breathtaking (compared to the simple, Cixi Mausoleum). Today we see Jingling curved shindao crowded and facing different awkward arrangement. Yuling Land Palace is the focus of the visit. Of course, the scale of the emperor's tomb is affirmative, but it is amazing that almost everywhere you look is covered with fine stone carvings, four walls, ceilings, each stone door and door brows, etc., almost all content is related to Buddhism. It can be seen how much he believes in Buddha. But there are no treasures in the earth palace now, because Sun Dianying forcibly opened and stolen in 1928, and even more lamentable is that the bones of the three concubines of the emperors and the three concubines in the tomb have been messed up and lost a lot, so that the people who cleaned up the mess can't distinguish each other at all. We can only put together in the large coffin of Qianlong, which is the middle piece seen by tourists today.

The Yuling Palace of Qianlong Emperor consists of four gates of nine coupons. It is unique in that the walls, the roof of the coupons, and even the stone gates are covered with stone carving patterns, without a blank. From the point of view of the carving content, although they are all Buddhist, they are rich in content and form. There are eight Buddhas on the stone gate. There are four mighty kings on the two walls of the gate. On the top of the coupon are five-sided Buddhas, thirty-five Buddhas, pagodas, etc. There are five desires, lions, and treasures on the flat water wall. The moonlight stone of the Mingtang coupon and the gold coupon is carved with wheels, snails, umbrellas, lids, flowers, cans, fish, and eight treasures of intestines. A large number of Buddhist scriptures and mantras are carved in Sanskrit and Tibetan in many places, including the door, the door, the wall, and the back of the stone door. According to the Qing Palace archives, the Yulingdi Palace has engraved a total of 647 Sanskrit characters and 29464 Tibetan characters. Although the designs in the palace are different, the texts are many. Due to the reasonable layout and proper combination, they do not appear messy and do not distinguish between the main and the secondary, but give people a sense of moving scenery and being overwhelmed. From the point of view of the carving technique, the three methods of high relief, shallow relief and shadow engraving are adopted. Different patterns, different parts and different methods are adopted. For example, the eight Buddhas on the stone gate and the four kings on the two walls of the first door cave, because they are in the most prominent part, entering the earth palace can give people a first impression, so these patterns adopt a strong three-dimensional high relief technique, so that the pattern image is realistic and lifelike. General decorative patterns such as eight treasures, lions, towers and so on use shallow relief. Sanskrit and Tibetans that set off the role are used in the inscription. This artistic treatment method makes the pattern have the master and the subordinate, giving people a distinct sense of hierarchy. The exquisite sculpture and rich connotations were shocked even by the learned former president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Mr. Zhao Puchu, and the X Panchen. Yuling is easy to seep, during the construction of water seepage, and later the craftsman through diversion reinforcement method, so that Qianlong did not have water seepage incident when he was alive. However, later water seepage occurred, so that Qianlong Emperor's coffin often floated because of water flood, and because of the north high and south low, the water automatically blocked the stone door, so that legend Qianlong Emperor himself showed the spirit to push the coffin past the gate of the earth palace. In 1928, Sun Dianying Department ransacked the tomb of Qianlong Emperor, Qianlong's body and the bodies of several accompanying queens were thrown on the ground, some toes fell, heads fell, etc., and several queens could not distinguish. Because of royal rules, the queen can carry the queen's coffin, but the queen can not be lowered to the coffin of the queen, which is very disrespectful. This makes it difficult for Qianlong Emperor and her wives to return to their positions.
