My husband &amp; I took my Sister &amp; our Nephew here for an early Birthday Lunch,I ordered Risotto for mains &amp; Wedges with sour cream for starter&#39;s.. My Sis had a chicken wrap with salad &amp; my nephew had whiting in beer batter, with chips &amp; salad..the meals were delicious &amp; really huge serves. I shared with my hubby &amp; the others had difficulty finishing theirs..(so took it home) we enjoyed a bottle of sweet wine as well &amp; soft drinks.. What a lovely Hotel,the service was great as quite a few turned up for lunch...It is steeped in Gold Rush History..very interesting.. I grew up in Bacchus Marsh &amp; this Hotel was always there, this was my 1st visit, as I live in Perth now..very pleasant with heeps of charm &amp; Nostalgia..thanks once again for the lovely tasty meals...compliments to the Chef/Cook &amp; also to the Staff, we will definitely visit again when we are over that way...(I still can&#39;t get over the huge servings)

We have been here a few times. Very friendly staff and good food. Nicely layed out and lovely words of inspiration on the wall. Closes early in the day, now in saying that its been a while since we last visited. This is my second choice in Bacchus Marsh for food. First being Baby Black. But this eatery is well worth a visit give it a try. You wont be disappointed.

well if your looking at stepping back in time you need to eat here. I think the staff are a bit back wards also all they need is the 1800&#39;s clothes on them the food is generous and may be to much on plate but overall you would be more interested in the artifacts around the eating area watch out for the rednecks hanging outside as they seem to look at you if you are neatly dressed as they would rock up with thongs and moco&#39;s ugg boots

Very plain food but have eaten worse in other places went a few times. But found better elswhere. Friendly staff. Grubby old feel about it. Not very inviting. Would only go back if there was noting better around.
