St. Nicholas Church, located near the Berlin Government Building, is a very old church in Berlin, now for the church museum, tickets are 5 yuan. In order to understand the history of the Berlin church in Germany, there are many people who come here every day to visit.
St. Nicholas Church was built around 1165. This church is located at the intersection of two important trade routes, East and South, and was built to commemorate Nicholas, the patron saint of medieval wholesalers and traders. Today, it is still in the center of the office building to welcome visitors from all over the world. From the west, the church was originally built in Roman style. In the early 16th century, it expanded and added a Gothic church hall, and has remained so until now. The design of the coconut-tree-like columns inside the church is very impressive, and the ornate decorations, patterns, and long rows of seats in the church are also very remarkable. Artist A. F. Oeser created three paintings for the church, which are displayed on the porch and the temple. The peaceful angel pattern on the altar is very rare. There are New Testament scenes being shown in the temple, where Jesus is described as a teacher of humanity (south) and an incredible son of God (north) - two basic pictures of Jesus differed from those of that era and today.
Near the red Berlin City Hall. The church is small, but very, very old. It is probably more than 300 years old. The church is free, go in and visit quietly, and then come out quietly.
The church was built in 1165 and named Nikolai because it was the patron saint of wholesalers and traders in the Middle Ages, and the site was in the center of the trade passages at that time, so it was built.
St. Nicholas Cathedral is a landmark building here, this free visit to the church is very worthwhile, the interior murals are many colorful artworks, the carved statues are very vivid.
