A testament to Nepal’s rich cultural heritage🇳🇵
#weekendgetaways
Nestled within the ancient city of Bhaktapur, Nepal, lies the most holy hidden treasure: Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Once the majestic residence of the Malla kings of Nepal from the 14th to the 15th century, and later the kings of the Kingdom of Bhaktapur until the late 18th century, this royal palace complex echoes with centuries of history and grandeur. Despite its tumultuous past, the square stands proudly today, recognized by UNESCO as a testament to Nepal's rich cultural heritage. As you wander through its hallowed grounds, you're transported back in time, surrounded by ornate temples, intricate carvings, and ancient monuments that whisper tales of bygone eras. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is more than just a relic of the past; it's a sacred sanctuary, preserving the soul of Nepal for generations to come.
At night, I was impressed to see the mysterious and precious building in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the building lit up without people.
เมืองเก่าแก่ ดูขลัง และมีศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่สวยงามมาก มีบางส่วนยังซ่อมแซมอยู่บ้าง แต่โดยรวมแล้วสวยค่ะ
We were supposed to fly by the observation plane over Everest, but the weather didn't create a chance for us to go back home and get on the plane back to India in frustration. As the plane ascended, I found a small roundabout, flying west along the Himalayas, when we found that the kind pilots had us take in the majestic beauty of the world's unique Everest.
Had wonderful holiday.Great experience in Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Feeling very shocking square, marveling at the wisdom and technology of the ancients, and the obvious contrast with modern architecture
The Durbar Square is a generic name for the Malla palace square and can be found in Kathmandu and Patan as well. The one in Bhaktapur was considered the biggest and the grandest among the three during its independency
Bad Gang Duba Square (Bhaktapur Durbar Square) is the second Duba Square visited in the Kathmandu Valley, and the only square that has a Chinese tourist map. It contains Badgang Duba Square (Durbar Square), Taomadi Square (Taumadhi Square), pottery square (Pottery Square) and Tazhuoya Square (Dattatreya Square), of which Badgang Square is the largest square, surrounded by various temple towers, which is overwhelmed. There are 500-year-old Malaya dynasty palaces, Golden Gate, 55 Window Palaces, including many artistic palaces, courtyards, temples, statues, etc., known as the "essence and treasure trove of medieval Nepalese art"
Baktapur is the new place name, formerly known as Bad Gang, near Kathmandu, there are three Duba Square, in Kathmandu, Baktapur and Patan, of which Baktapur is the oldest. Focus on the 55 window palace, named for 55 black lacquered sandalwood carved windows. You can walk up the steps to the five-story tower, which is the highest point of Baktapur Duba Square. The peacock window is located in the alley and needs to be found. The local yogurt tastes good, with pottery bowls, interesting. Chinese tourists enjoy half price for tickets with passports, only 500 rupees.
