Two-day Romanian Ancient City Tour: Dracula Castle + Sigishwara The theme of this itinerary is “Through the Romanian Middle Ages”, which is perfect for those who love history, castles and European town atmosphere. From Bucharest, you can easily play around Perez Castle, Bran Castle (Dracula Castle) and Sigishwara. The scenery is beautiful all the way, and you can feel the life and legendary stories of the old aristocrats along the way! Trip Route Recommendation: Day 1: Departure from Bucharest → Château de Hinaia Peres → Château de Brendguella Day 2: In-depth exploration of the medieval town of Sigishwara Castle of Peres (Aleea Peleșului 2, Sinaia 106100 Romania) It is recommended to go early in the morning, the castle looks gorgeous, blends a variety of European architectural styles, and houses precious artworks inside. The scenery around the castle is quiet, perfect for taking pictures. Open year-round, only Monday and Tuesday 09:15-17:00 (tickets stop at 15:35, entry stops at 16:00), Thursday to Sunday 10:00-17:00. Tickets 255 yuan (Lei, Romania). Tip: Try to avoid Mondays and Tuesdays and keep an eye on last entry times, the castle requires walking stairs and some places are not suitable for large luggage. Bran Castle (Strada General Traian Moșoiu 24, Bran 5070 25 Romania) Also known as Dracula’s Castle, it’s most attractive for its mystery, with the castle exterior and interior recreating vampire lore scenes. The museum displays medieval weapons, furniture and historical materials, and the atmosphere carries a sense of mystery. April 1 to October 31, Monday 12:00-19:00, Tuesday to Sunday 09:00-19:00; Tickets 238 yuan (Lei, Romania). Tip: It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance to save time in line. Castle stairs more, be careful to wear comfortable shoes. There are tours in the museum, and those who want to learn more about the legend of Dracula can attend. Sighişoara The next day is recommended to play the town of Sigishwara, where medieval architecture is very well preserved. The town center colorful cottages, ancient pagodas, and slate streets are perfect for photography and strolling. You can visit Dracula’s birthplace, clock tower, and city walls, and slowly feel the charm of the ancient Romanian city. Tip: The town is suitable for slow walking tours, souvenir shops, coffee shops, many specialty restaurants, recommended to try local traditional dishes. There is a lighting atmosphere in the town at night, but it is best not to be too late and be safe. Itinerary Notes: 1. Transportation in Romania is mainly by car. 2.
