Horseback Riding on Qilian Grassland, Look Up to Golden Sunlight on Snow Mountains — Who Gets It?! This experience only resonates if you've lived it. To recreate that "horseback + golden mountain" combo, go to Ebao Town Grassland or Zhuo'er Mountain's back slope. The distant peaks are usually Niuxin Mountain or Gangshika Snow Peak. Horseback pitfalls: Ebao Town ~80–100 yuan/hour, foot of Zhuo'er Mountain ~50 yuan/hour. Note that many tour-included "rides" are just tied to a post for photos — confirm in advance if you want to actually ride up. Wear long pants and sneakers; shorts scratch and sandals are dangerous. Chasing golden sunrise: Arrive before 5:50 AM, wait for 7:00 AM when sunlight ignites the snow cap — the shift from gray-blue to gold-red is breathtaking.
