YYizhuangfantexi: Hotel Majapahit Surabaya MGallery is absolutely stunning, though it might be a bit spooky if you're staying alone. Considering how long it's been around, the service and facility maintenance are quite decent. Breakfast: The food quality is good, with a wider variety compared to hotels in Bali, and it's not just typical 'Western' fare. Cleanliness: There are a few minor details that could be cleaner, but it's not a deal-breaker. Facilities: The power outlets seem to be British standard. There's one adapter in the room that can convert to European standard. I recommend bringing a power strip as one outlet won't be enough. Also, the outlets by the desk are linked to the master switch by the bed, so they lose power when you turn it off (this is crucial to remember). I suggest using the outlets near the floor by the bathroom door, as they are not connected to the master switch.

GGuest User: The air conditioning in the first room was a bit noisy, but I contacted the front desk and they changed my room. The front desk staff was very helpful, and they even upgraded my room type, apologized, and gave me a small gift. Overall, my stay after that was quite good, and I slept comfortably.

GGuest User: Before I begin the review, let me say that the front desk staff of the hotel have been extremely understanding and accomodating. They ensured most of my complaints were addressed. So this review isn't a reflection on them. They graciously changed my room three times due to the following issues I faced. But having said that, the hotel itself is a disaster. The walls were essentially thin cardboard and you could hear everything from the adjacent rooms - from people coughing their lungs out, sneezing, talking to ********** - literally everything. In the bathroom you hear some continuously banging noise coming from somewhere as if there is construction going on - maybe it's from the plumbing. You surely need ear plugs if you decide to get a good night's rest. There were mosquitos in the room I was given on the first night. There was also no hot water in the bathroom at night. It was at best luke-warm. The safe was not working and the sheets and pillow covers were stained. The couch was stained. The worst part about the first room was a serious hygeine issue. The commodes have a retractable bidet. It was covered in faeces. It was too disgusting to take a picture of but I showed it to the manager. After I complained they changed the room but I couldn't sleep properly because of loud neighbours in the adjacent room. You can also see from the pictures that the rooms aren't maintained well. There's water seepage and damaged furniture. I had to request a change of room again but even this room had loud neighbours and a poorly cleaned bathroom with hair everywhere. I just cleaned it myself and adjusted as this was my last night of the stay. I ended up staying in 3 different rooms during my 3 night stay. This hotel needs to be shut down and renovated. They first need to build proper walls in between rooms. Their housekeeping staff also needs proper training.

Hhendraspt: The room is massive! It has its living room with a sofa and also dining table. Everything works well and so clean. The staff also is very kind and informative. If something need to be improve is the bathroom, one of two toilet only has a curtain and not full to the floor so the water splash everywhere when taking the shower. Overall this is really nice hotel, will comeback again next time if I go to Surabaya. Thank you

📶 I have to say, Beijing is becoming increasingly international. Not only can you taste delicacies from all over, but you can also enjoy a romantic Indonesian feast right away. Recently, the chef from the JW Marriott Surabaya traveled thousands of miles to present the authentic flavors of the "Thousand Islands" nation. The Indonesian Food Festival has officially kicked off at the JW Kitchen buffet restaurant. The restaurant's environment is elegant and grand, adorned with many Indonesian-style decorations. Immersing yourself here feels like being in Southeast Asia. The overall service is attentive and thorough, making for a very comfortable dining experience. The joy of the occasion is evident as guests mingle and dine 😃. . 🎈 Indonesian cuisine Meat slow-cooked for a long time in a blend of coconut milk and spices is tender and flavorful, with rich, multi-layered spices! The satay skewers are incredibly fragrant and paired with a signature peanut dipping sauce, filling your mouth with Southeast Asian flavors... There's also Indonesian fried noodles, gado-gado salad, and coconut rice, all packed with tangy, spicy, and aromatic flavors. . 🧜🏻♀️ High-quality seafood with plenty of options The exquisite plating far surpasses that of ordinary seafood restaurants. The seafood is served on a bed of crushed ice to keep it fresh. Fresh live shrimp, abalone, oysters, crab 🦀, and salmon. The hammered silver pot contains a clear scallop broth. After poaching, pair it with the restaurant's special seafood dipping sauce for a fresh, sweet taste that lingers on the palate... . 🍰 Western-style desserts The desserts at JW Kitchen deserve a spot on Beijing's "must-eat" list. They offer a wide variety, beautifully and temptingly plated. Each one is delicate, exquisite, and delicious. The chocolate tart is packed with rich cocoa flavor—mellow and thick, with a slight bitterness upon the first bite that leaves a sweet aftertaste. It's sweet but not cloying, perfect for those who love desserts. . 📶 Outstanding five-star hotel quality A great chance to check off various classic Indonesian dishes in one go—perfect for gatherings with friends or intimate dates. The food festival is a limited-time event ending on the 16th of this month. Those interested can book in advance to experience a unique Southeast Asian culinary journey 😋. . ❤️ TIPS: 🎈 There are many international diners, reflecting a vibrant, thriving economy. 🎈 Window seats with a view require advance booking. . . 🏠: JW Kitchen Buffet Restaurant (JW Marriott Hotel Beijing at Beijing Fortune Plaza) 🚘: 4th Floor, JW Marriott Hotel Beijing at Beijing Fortune Plaza, 18 Xuanwumen Outer Street (next to Xuanwumen SOGO) 🈺: 6:30 AM–9:30 PM

As an AirAsia travel enthusiast, I flew to Bali again. This time, I took an unconventional route and turned the trip into an "island sports training camp"—hiking and diving, unlocking a different way to experience the island through sports. · Started training right after landing! Took a few laps swimming in the waters of Nusa Dua first; the sea feels way more exciting than a pool. After getting out, I stretched with a yoga instructor to relax my muscles and get ready for more action. In the afternoon, I grabbed a board to surf, and the moment the waves splashed on my face, all the stress just vanished. · Of course, hardcore activities aside, the classic sights can’t be missed. · The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is huge and impressive, and every shot at Ubud Palace looks like a postcard. Took a stroll through the Ubud Market, where the handmade crafts were quite interesting. The rice terraces are truly beautiful, with an unreal shade of green, and the cliffside sea views at Nusa Penida are simply divine—you’d regret not climbing up for the view here. · Highly recommend a trip to Surabaya; it’s just a one-hour ferry ride from Bali. Both Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen are worth visiting! Climbing the volcanoes is exhausting, but watching the sunrise from the summit makes it all worthwhile. After descending, wander around Tunjungan Old Street, full of local life and atmosphere—it’s so refreshing. · This time, I chose AirAsia again! Departing from Guangzhou with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, leaving half a day to explore—checked in at the Petronas Twin Towers and caught a glimpse of the Pink Mosque. The stopover didn’t slow down the fun. From there, you can continue flying to places like Surabaya and Bangkok, with plenty of routes making travel smooth. · AirAsia’s DIY model really gets me. No forced baggage fees; you just pick what you need, no extra charges for unused allowances. The flight attendants are warm but not overbearing, making the flight comfortable. The overall experience is just right. With one flight, you can connect island life, sports, volcanoes, and old streets—this style of travel is truly exciting. ·

Yesterday, I successfully arrived in Surabaya, East Java Island, Indonesia, starting a new journey. Many people treat Surabaya as a transit point to Mount Bromo and Mount Semeru, but Surabaya itself is also worth visiting. Surabaya is the capital of East Java Province and the second-largest city in Indonesia. If you come here, the following classic attractions are definitely worth a visit! The Zheng He Mosque in Surabaya is the world’s first mosque named after Zheng He. Located at No. 2 Shading Street, it is a five-story building designed in a pagoda style, featuring strong Chinese cultural elements. For local Muslim believers, the Zheng He Mosque holds irreplaceable spiritual value. The Surabaya Heroes Monument stands over 40 meters tall and is shaped like an inverted nail. Inside, there is a museum open to visitors. The monument is also a landmark of Surabaya and an excellent subject for photography. Photography enthusiasts should not miss it. The Surabaya Submarine Monument was originally a submarine that began service in 1962. After retiring in 1990, it was converted into the current museum open to tourists. Visitors can learn about Surabaya’s past history and appreciate the bravery of the city’s people in resisting colonial rule. Surabaya Zoo, established in 1912, is very famous locally and attracts millions of visitors annually. The most distinctive feature of Surabaya Zoo is that all the animals come from the Southeast Asia region. When you are there, you will feel a strong Southeast Asian atmosphere. The Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya and The Westin Surabaya are the only integrated hotels in Surabaya, both located in the same building. The lobbies of both hotels lead directly to Indonesia’s largest shopping center, Pakuwon Mall, making shopping and travel very convenient! This time, we booked two nights each at The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton. Ambassador members were upgraded to suites, and the room views and hotel facilities, including the pool, restaurants, spa, and bar, were all excellent. Highly recommended!

Bali | Twin Volcanoes + Waterfalls from the End of the World’s Stunning Shock 🌋||| Only the brave truly see the world, no lies😭! Indonesia’s beauty is so diverse. Besides the heartbreakingly beautiful sea views and vibrant jungles, there are also spectacular and awe-inspiring volcanoes 🌋 and waterfalls 🌊 to listen to the heartbeat of the Earth~ The Twin Volcanoes + Waterfalls tour lets you experience Bali’s extraordinary vitality 🌅 🌴 Itinerary 📍 Day 1: Arrive in Surabaya Arrive at Surabaya International Airport. It is recommended to stay in a hotel in the city center or near the airport to rest and prepare for the next day’s itinerary. Surabaya itself is Indonesia’s second-largest city, so you can spend some time visiting local attractions like Surabaya Zoo or Suramadu Bridge to experience the local culture. 📍 Day 2: Head to Bromo Volcano Depart early morning for Bromo Volcano (about 3-4 hours by car), enjoying the rural scenery of East Java along the way. Upon arrival, check into a nearby hotel, such as in Cemara Lawang village, which is an ideal spot for viewing Bromo. In the afternoon, explore around the volcano, take in the magnificent views of the Tengger mountain range, or hike to the Laut Pasir sea of sand. 📍 Day 3: Bromo Volcano Sunrise and Trekking Depart around 3 AM to the Bromo Volcano viewpoint, usually recommended is Mount Penanjakan, the best place to watch the Bromo sunrise. If the weather is good, the sunrise views are breathtaking, with Mount Batok and Semeru Volcano visible in the distance. 🌞 After sunrise, you can ride a horse or hike to the crater to experience the thrilling volcanic steam. Return to the hotel for a short rest, then drive to accommodation near Ijen Volcano in the afternoon, about 5-6 hours by car. 📍 Day 4: Ijen Volcano Tour 🌋 Depart around midnight to the starting point of Ijen Volcano and begin the climb. Ijen Volcano is famous worldwide for its Blue Fire phenomenon and sulfur mines. The climb takes about 1.5-2 hours, and in the early morning, you can see the mysterious blue flames. Afterwards, continue hiking to the crater lake to admire one of the world’s most acidic lakes’ magnificent scenery. 🎀 Return to the accommodation to rest, then drive back to Surabaya in the afternoon (about 5-6 hours by car), arriving in the evening. 📍 Day 5: Depart from Surabaya 1️⃣💗 Warm Bali Tips 🔹 Don’t exchange money or buy SIM cards at the airport; prices are high and not worth it. 🔹 Bali’s attractions are quite spread out and far apart, so it’s recommended to hire a car. 🔹 Don’t drink tap water in Bali; only drink bottled water. Waterborne illnesses will punish anyone who underestimates it. 🔹 For volcano trips, remember to bring comfortable, durable, and warm clothes, and wear non-slip shoes. 🔹 For sea trips or inconvenient transport, prepare motion sickness medicine and seasickness pills in advance. 🔹 Bali’s UV rays are strong, so be sure to bring sun protection products.

Loft Cafe in Surabaya beautifully marries zen and industrial vibes. Its serene ambiance instantly soothes the soul, while the industrial elements lend a modern edge. The tea selection is diverse, and the cozy decor enhances the overall experience. We could say the tea selections were among the best in town. My only take was: if only they have no sugar option for all the drinks, that'd be great. seems like they specialise in light bites for the food. We had sandos, while the Custard Pudding Sando was 'eggcellent', the custard was not too sweet with caramelised bread crust. The Loft Breakfast was particularly too salty for our liking. They're located along Jalan Raya Darmo Permai in the west side of Surabaya. They open from 7am, so if you're planning for an early meeting with your loved ones or tea break after that jogging session, this place is perfect. If you're happen to visit Surabaya, this place is a must-visit for those seeking tranquility with a touch of urban charm. #surabaya #teahouse #cafe #industrial #sando #matchalatte #zen #urbanexplorer #indonesia

AzissAt the entrance stood the sculptures of the first president and vice president of Indonesia. In the center of the museum park was a large square lawn with a white monument standing in front. It was surrounded by flowers, trees, and sculptures of Indonesia's founding heroes. The tour guide was telling the children historical stories, and I translated for them if they didn't understand. A large group of children in red school uniforms also came, and the teacher took them to receive patriotic education.
