Kampen, Oslo's vibrantly colored wooden houses – a truly captivating stroll! 💛🇳🇴
If you're in Oslo and want a change of pace from the big landmarks, try exploring Kampen. This neighborhood is incredibly charming, with old wooden houses lining the streets in bright red, yellow, and green colors that look amazing against the blue sky – perfect for photos! 📸
Walk around Kampen Church and then explore the smaller streets; you'll find countless adorable houses. Some spots are incredibly peaceful, giving you a glimpse into a different side of Oslo, beyond just the big tourist attractions.
And a must-see is Farine ☕️🥐, a small cafe in a distinctive yellow building. The interior is cozy, with tables inside and outdoor seating along the wall – perfect for a break after a day of sightseeing.
They have a variety of pastries and desserts. We tried the cake and coffee, enjoyed the gentle sunlight, and people-watched. The atmosphere is so nice, you'll want to sit there for a long time.
If you're a cafe lover, enjoy taking photos, or love exploring old town areas, I highly recommend adding Kampen and Farine to your Oslo itinerary.
🚇 Getting there: Take the T-bane train to Ensjø station and then walk for about 10-15 minutes. Along the way, you can admire the beautiful wooden houses of the Kampen area.
