这家店并不像很多店家装修的很华丽，普普通通的隐藏在町屋中。他家还有酱料、渍物、昆布等自产外卖，并开设了怀石料理课堂，可见餐厅的历史功力不同一般。提前一天预订了和式包房桌椅的位子，每人16000日元标准，和式包房还要另加15%的服务费和8%的消费税，算下来每人19872日元，帅哥问了我们有什么忌口的并记录了我们的酒店名称和房间号码，还告知因为会根据预订采购食材所以如果取消要收一定的费用。店内那种浓浓的京都庶民气质给人一种家的感觉，很随意、温暖、舒适。走廊里柔和的灯光，擦的光亮如新的地板。屋子中间是自家营造的花园，小巧精致，非常具有京都特色。服务员将我们领到二楼的一间包房，包房四个人坐蛮宽敞，还有一个内阳台可以看见楼下的小花园。房间布置的很雅致又有禅意，书画烘托出艺术的气质，古色古香的的家具桌椅给人一种怀旧的氛围。 穿着传统和服的女士先为我们奉上清茶并问我们要不要酒水饮料，我们都不会饮酒就说还是喝茶水好了。于是给我们泡上红茶还送上了热毛巾净面擦手。开始上菜了服务员会用流利的英文为你讲解每一道菜的名称、组成、吃法，当然我们听得云里雾里只能从个别字眼中揣摩辨别吃的是啥。总体来说怀石料理非常注重用餐环境的优雅、食物摆盘的艺术观赏性、器皿的精致运用、食材的新鲜当季以及中药材的融入调味，将饮食与艺术相结合把美味推向极致。饭后老板亲自上来他招呼感谢我们的光临，并打印了精美的菜单，连印有近又名称的餐布也送给我们作纪念。买单后老板和帅哥大厨送我们到门口鞠躬致谢目送离开，后来我们路过门口老板还热情地跟我们打招呼。 他家只能刷VISA、MasterCard、JCB等国际信用卡，没有银联。
