La Strada Del Vino Wine Bistrot

We loved the food and wine! There were many good options but we had the snapper and the sirloin, after we had an appertivo (the club sandwich). Such great flavors. Service was a little slow but was great up until the end. We were trying to pay the bill and asked if we could tip since we enjoyed everything, and our waiter responded &ldquo;we don&rsquo;t do that in Italy, you just pay the bill&rdquo; which we found fairly rude. I&rsquo;ve been to Rome, Milan, and Florence where I&rsquo;ve always been able to tip. So just a note to not assume that guests haven&rsquo;t been elsewhere in Italy/around the world or be standoffish when they&rsquo;re trying to compliment the restaurant.. definitely hurt the vibe a bit.

Had a delightful and delicious meal in a small room adjacent to the terrace. The decor was pleasant and the food was excellent. With a waitress who wanted to make sure we had a great time, we were sure to remember and return to this restaurant. Delightful.

Food delicious and the staff were very helpful. It was a very hot day and it was lovely to be in the cool cellar. A perfect evening.

Absolutely amazing food, you won&#39;t be disappointed! The octopus is the best we have ever had!  The let down was the toilet, no soap or paper and we had the resavation for just after they opened at 7:30 pm.

Maybe it was our fault of not realising it&rsquo;s more a wine bar than a restaurant! Excellent food but too pricy compared to other excellent Eateries in Puglia. .

The restaurant was lively and comfortable.  The food was fresh and tasty and in good portions.  The wine list had numerous selections by both glass and bottle.

The owner is very knowledgeable in the wine he sells and you can always get very good recommendations from him.  Both the food and wine are good and reasonably priced.  I will highly recommend La Strada to any visitors to Lecce.

Everything close to perfection:- food is served generously (had the mix board cheese and meat). Bread is excellent- service very friendly. They speak English. One remark to owner: please take out empty cans and bottles regularly to make space on the table- location is close to roman theatre and all other bars and restaurants

Cozy and romantic wine bistro at the historical city center of Lecce. The service was great, with good selection of wine, while the food remained classic to the Italian cuisine I very much enjoy. It&rsquo;s a great stop for anyone new to Lecce

It was Saturday evening at 21:00, we liked to sit outside and the people speak English what helped a lot with and what to order. they combined a bit fish, because some of us dont eat meat. and a nice white wine was recommended.

We had relatively small appetites and ordered the seafood starter for 2 which was lovely.  Knowledgeable and very helpful staff who had an English menu and spoke English

High quality seafood restaurant with a twist-you get to literally choose the seafood you will eat. We had a number of pastas that were all delicious, salmon, frito misto and salads.. We wouldn&rsquo;t order the salads again as they were iceberg lettuce and unripe tomatoes. The wine list is reasonable and so was the pricing of the dinner. The atmosphere is lovely. Would definitely come back again.
