Nice ambience, and good pub style food once it does arrive - service was on the slow side. Chef apparently forgot an element in one of our desserts, we had to ask them to check against the menu, and no apology.

Very cold in an old section of the pub. Took 1hr 15 minutes to receive our main meals. Very polite staff and good quality food although our meals were served Luke warm but we didn&rsquo;t want to complain as we had appointments to get to and just needed to eat and leave asap.

Great service, great food, great location and views.  The pub, bar, toilets are spotlessly clean, which unfortunately isn’t the norm for pubs  these days.  The staff are super friendly with a great menu!  Will certainly be returning and would definitely recommend!!

Oh The Peacock you have done it again! What a fantastic meal we had last week. 2 Adult roasts (Rib and Trio) and 3 kids roasts (Beef, Turkey). We also got extra pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese.  Really good portions, kids roasts are huge, really tasty tender meat.   Fantastic customer service- they made a slight mistake with one of my drinks, but this was rectified and the drink was removed from my bill which was appreciated. We didn&apos;t have a pudding this time, but the puddings did look really good.  We really look forward to our roasts at the Peacock when we are in the area and will be back as soon as we can.

We trusted online reviews and weren‘t disappointed. We were well looked after during our spontaneous diner at the Peacock by Jess and Tod.  They served great and healthy kids options. And our kids cleared their plates. We loved the slow cooked lamb and the mushroom pie and the desserts. They also had a thoughtful corner with dog treats and dog blankets. We would definitely recommend!
