Food when it came was very good, but we were there for forty-five minutes before our order was taken! We did thankfully have drinks. The restaurant was full and there appeared to be only one server doing everything at the tables, the other server was at the bar doing the drinks orders. The person serving in the sweet and ice cream separate shop only appeared to be clearing tables and not taking orders. Think this restaurant has become a victim of its own  success. We only managed a main course in over 2 hours, so be prepared for a wait. We decided not to have dessert or coffee as  our daughter and her boyfriend had an hour&rsquo;s drive back home.This was the first time they had been we came last year several times and have never had this problem before. Don&rsquo;t know what went wrong, will go again, just not while it&rsquo;s the school holiday!

L'Optimist'

The restaurant is located right on the lake front with a small children&#39;s playground on site, absolutely great for family with small kids!

We had l&rsquo;Optimist burger and carpaccio boeuf. Excellent choices, the servers were very attentive although the restaurant was very full. We both had the caf&eacute; gourmand to finish, delicious. We&rsquo;ll certainly be back and would recommend.

Restaurant was very full as this was a very pleasant summer evening, but service was efficient and fast. Good choice of dishes on the menu. Excellent presentation and very tasty food. The childrens&rsquo; play area right next to the outdoor eating area was much appreciated by our grandson.

Food was good quality and service was quick, price average. We tried the burger and Caesar salad both good. Didn&rsquo;t have room for a dessert so just finished with a coffee. Ideal for families, there is and a playground just adjacent to the outside tables. We&rsquo;ll be back with our grandson.
