The Leyolene Hiller Building stands in the center of Honolulu, facing the famous Iolani Palace, with his back facing the statue of King Kamehameha I. The building, a symbol of the prosperity and stability of the Kingdom of Hawaii, was built in 1874 by King Kamehameha 5 and designed by Thomas Rowe, a famous Australian architect at the time. It is now listed on the National Register of Important Historical Buildings in Hawaii and the United States.
