Photos of The Albert Memorial

If ever there was an act of love, it would be the Albert Memorial. Revealed in 1876, Queen Victoria assigned the task to create the monument as a memorial for her late husband. The structure rises 54 meters tall and is full of symbolism, exhibiting sculptures of the institutions Prince Albert influenced, as well as several animals signifying different continents. The Gothic Revival style was an outcome of its designer, Sir George Gilbert Scott.
