Photos of Ile Saint-Louis

Ile Saint-Louis is one of two natural river islands on the Seine, named after King Louis IX of France. It was an uninhabited desert island in the early 17th century, but by 1664 the whole island was filled with new houses facing the marina and the Seine. Today, most of the island of Saint-Louis is residential, and the island is also home to many top art galleries and fashionable clothing stores.
