Paris, France, pressure mountain, the third stone bridge, although very low, but long. Completed in 1900, the 107-meter bridge body is composed of a bridge arch, the bridge body is lower to not affect the view of the Champs Elysees and the Invalides.
The bridge was built in 1896 and was founded by Russian Tsar Nicholas II. The bridge is named after his father Alexander III and symbolizes the Franco-Russian friendship represented by the Franco-Russian Union in 1891. • You will find a lot of details, with symbols of plants, flowers, animals and mysterious objects, such as fairy and little angels, Renaissance lanterns, wing horses at both ends, lamps on the bridge are supported by the little love god, and the moral sea-long image constitutes the theme of the bridge decoration. The bridge was engineered by Jean Resal and Amédée d'Alby, which opened at the 1900 World's Fair alongside the nearby Grand Palace and the Little Palace. The Alexander III bridge is listed as a historical monument.
must visit when in Paris! the bridge is so majestic and it's very near the different attractions as well!
Somehow having missed this bridge on previous visits, we made a point to visit it this time around and I am glad that we didThe bridge itself is very beautiful and offers great vistas over Seine. However the best part is after sunset when the bridge lights up and you can see lighted Eiffel as well from it. Worth visiting just for it even if you are not fan of architecture or history
