Mother and son lunch to celebrate his 18 th birthday.  The experience was lovely, the staff were lovely .

been here twice now and its probably the best carvery iv had will continue to go and will definitely be recommend to family and friends.

Once we found Le Cafe, which is tucked away inside a hotel, we thought it was quite a find. Away from crowds and noise and plenty of seating. The waiting staff were helpful but sadly, my cheese and caramelised shallot toasted sandwich was cold and the toast was quite hard. It&#39;s a useful venue to meet in the Reading area and I would probably choose something else next time although the vegetarian options weren&#39;t extensive. Nice staff, shame about the cold food.

Come here for a very high-end Japanese cuisine, they mainly focus on kaiseki cuisine, the overall atmosphere is quite good, and it is the Japanese-style tatami seat, sitting very warm feeling.

Never fails to impress. Our favourite restaurant if we want to treat ourselves to excellent food and wine.

We always enjoy dining at L&#39;Ortolan. Such amazing service, friendly and professional staff... Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to eat delicious food. Will definitely come again!

L&rsquo;Ortolan never disappoints&hellip;.staff attentive but discreetly so and the care given to the food and presentation is exemplary.

The sommelier in particular was great. Lovely food and a great experience
