Shika Snow Mountain

I have been to this place 4 years ago as a solo traveller, and would love to go back once travel restrictions are eased.

Shika Snow Mountain is located 7 kilometers southwest of Shangri-La. The snow mountain is connected to the Napahai Nature Reserve in the north, and the Qianhu Mountain Scenic Area, the world natural heritage of "three rivers" in the south. The east is facing Songzanlin Temple and Dukezong Ancient City. The west is the mysterious canyon and the endless Jinsha River. It covers an area of about 65 square kilometers. Due to the highlands, the landform is complex and the natural conditions affect it, traveling to Shangri-La is very important for the choice of season. ​​​

I accidentally found this attraction next to the Naohai Grassland. This year, the drought in Yunnan was great. When I arrived, I knew that the grassland was dry and yellow. I chose Shika Snow Mountain, 140 round trip, and the one-way cable car felt that it was more than 30 minutes worth of value. Very few tourists are tourists chartered cable cars, really not many tourists. It is divided into 2 sections. The Internet recommends that the snow mountain top look at the 8 Shenshan Mountains. It is really super beautiful, and the oxygen content on it is rich. Don't be scared by the altitude. The grassland in the middle is too beautiful, okay? The altitude is high. It is much more beautiful than Napa Sea. The grassland is super large. It feels like 5 hours of complete play. I took a little bit of the grassland in a hurry.

I came from Dali Newspaper Group. The altitude here is very high and the mountain is very cold. The tour guide said that many people will have altitude sickness, so we bought Rhodiola and oxygen cylinders. But I didn't have any reaction. Later, my husband just sucked the oxygen cylinder as a play. . . . It takes about an hour to take two ropeways to the mountain. The mountain is very frozen, but it is a thousand miles to trek. It is only to see the vastness at your feet to see the snow-capped mountains and other scenery. I am very surprised. ～～～ Yunnan is really unusual for various geographical reasons, but the road is too far away.

I went on May 8, 2016. The tickets were bought by locals. The ropeway was much cheaper! Not as big as expected. The most deep memory is that the ropeway is very slow. It takes about forty minutes to go up. The first rope is directly roped down. Locals told me that if I came in July and August, it was called the Blue Moon Valley, because there was no snow, but the ropeway was full of rhododendrons, tens of thousands of acres, especially beautiful. There was still some snow when I came, and it was not as cold as I thought. 4,400 meters. Remember to bring some yolo beauty, chocolate, and replenish your physical strength. The lack of oxygen is not very serious. The scenery is beautiful, not all finished. About three hours of playing.

I hit Didi from the city and bought tickets online and took the ropeway directly to the top of the mountain. Although there are no flowers in full bloom in winter, the snow scene can make people feel full and worthwhile. Here you can see the three Shenshan Mountains in Aden, Daocheng (Xian Nairi, Yang Maiyong, Xiano Dogi), you can also see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, walk around the plank road and you can see the Meili Snow Mountain, etc. The snow on the top of the mountain is very thick, and people who have not seen the snow are scattered to play: rolling, playing, Enjoy it. It will be a top of the Lingding, a view of the mountains, it is definitely a place worth visiting, the weather factors, probably also look at fate.

It was a humbling experience to travel this place solo, especially for a woman like me. The place is also safe.

It is very comfortable to go to the top of the mountain first and then go down on foot. There is no snow this season, a little regret, but there are not many people, it is more comfortable to play. [View] The weather in Shangri-La these days is average, cloudy and rainy, plus the plateau weather is really changeable, so I don't see the beautiful sky and the important snow mountain scenery. But I think I like the scenery along the ropeway very much. There are purple pine nuts, the first time I saw it. And I saw the water vapor quickly forming a cloud, and then it turned into rain and returned to the earth. I felt that nature was really amazing. [Cost-effective] I bought tickets directly on Trip.com, which is 110. Need to go to the scene to change tickets. I don't know if it is the off-season reason, the parking lot is free of charge. When I got the ticket, I read the regular price of 220 yuan for the round-trip cable car and 30 yuan for the big ticket. So now it is equivalent to receiving half of the cable car ticket, and then the big ticket is free, which is still cost-effective.
