Dahao Ancient City

In Daqi Street, Qianjiang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, there is an ancient city called "the most pocket-sized ancient city in China" because of the area of only 14,000 square meters. The ancient city was built in Qing Kangxi in 56 years (1717). Since it was included in the sixth batch of cultural relics protection units in Guangdong Province in 2010, the ancient city has been continuously and beautifully bloomed and often repaired, making every visit here always quiet and beautiful, good, Quietly... to show the public her classical and modern art.

Daqi Ancient City is located in Qijiang District, Shantou City. It is the only well-preserved pocket ancient city in the country, with an area of only 0.014 square kilometers. It is the size of two football fields. Compared with the ancient city we often see, it really can be seen at a glance. It has only two city gates, "Xiqiaomen" and "Dashanmen". The ancient city wall is 5 meters high and1.3 meters thick, and there are observation decks at four corners.

Daqi Ancient City is a small place with fish balls as a small place. There are not many locals and attractions, but there are many small shops in the whole area that do various steamed bun fish balls, and many of the production standards are very good. Every December, there will be a fish ball food festival in Daqi, which is very local. If you are interested in fish balls, you want to eat the best and most diverse fish balls, it is worth visiting. In addition, riding from Shantou is also a fitness and leisure game especially recommended by local cycling enthusiasts.

There is a fish shed opposite the Donghu Township of Daqi, which provides rental fishing projects. The price is fair and the catch is full. I have been there many times. Every time I have a surprise, I highly recommend it!

After visiting Nan'ao Island, it was still early. On the island, take the 162 road directly to Xiyuan and walk 200 meters to the ancient city of Daqi. No tickets, there are some children playing and leisure elderly people. The ancient city is not big, but it is well preserved. There are two doors corresponding to the city wall, the two houses inside are newly built, but the old trees of the strong tell the people about the passing years.
