My husband and I enjoyed watching artists introduce their handicrafts at the Spanish Village Art Center. There are lots of shops selling paintings, pottery, jewelry and wood crafts. You can get a lot of inspiration for gift giving there as those shops are full of unique handicrafts. We enjoyed the glass-blown and pottery exhibitions. It was only a short walk from the zoo or the visitor center of Balboa Park.
We spent a few hours walking through the village. Seeing a lot of different artists and styles. It was very interesting to visit real artists and see them do some more artwork. There are also many small shops and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Balboa Park
