Tianhou Palace, located in Nansha District, Guangzhou, was formerly the Tianfei Temple in Lujing Village, Nansha, Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt and named the "Yuanjun Ancient Temple", and was later blown up by the Japanese army during the Anti-Japanese War. The existing Tianhou Palace was in 1994, the vice chairman of the National Political Consultative Conference, and the famous industrialist Mr. Huo Yingdong initiated and donated funds to rebuild the Tianhou Palace in Nansha.
