Zhushan Dangkou Relics Park

Zhushan Dangkou Park, also known as Zhushan Dangkou Ruins Park, is located in Dongzhu Mountain, Xuzhou City. Dongzhu Mountain is the first mountain in the CBD High-speed Railway International Business District of Xuzhou Economic Development Zone, with an altitude of 140 meters. Over the years, due to mining and other reasons, there have been piles of rocks and many ditching mouths on Zhushan Mountain, and the vegetation and ecology have been destroyed. In the process of starting the high-speed rail international business district, Xuzhou Economic Development Zone started to carry out ecological restoration and re-greening of the Dangkou site formed by quarrying in Dongzhu Mountain, and plans to build the Zhushan Dangkou Site Park. The construction of the park is based on the principle of "restoring the ecology, covering the green and retaining the scenery, condensing the culture, and stimulating the economy". It maintains the original vegetation while covering the green, and retains the stone walls and other buildings built during the mining operation in the past, and then combines them into a new human landscape. The first-phase project of Zhushan Dangkou Ruins Park covers an area of 150 mu, with more than 800 meters of first and second-level park roads, 550 meters of wooden plank roads up the mountain, more than 20,000 trees and shrubs of various types, and more than 40,000 square meters of lawn and ground cover. The built Suntan Lake, Moon Lake, Zhushan Waterfall, Mountain Ladder, "Tianchi" Shuanghu, "Peak and Turn" promenade, etc., have become the highlights of the heritage park, attracting an endless stream of visitors. The completion of the park also provides a model for the ecological restoration of the Dangkou site.
