Bailu Temple

Bailu Temple is located on Bailu Mountain on the south bank of Zijiang River. It was built in the Yuanhe period of Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of about 1200 years. It is the largest temple in Yiyang. In the heyday of the ancient temple, there were four entrances, namely Maitreya Buddha Hall, Guanyin Hall, Daxiong Hall, and Pharmacist Hall. In the Qing Dynasty, Bailu Temple had many monks, prosperous incense, and great reputation. What is especially amazing is the ancient bronze bell weighing 1,000 kilograms in the temple. Today's Bailu Temple facing the street gate is majestic, with red wall arches and magnificent style, which greatly exceeds the gate of the ancient temple. On the top of Bailu Mountain is a newly built Mahavira Hall. The Buddha statues in the hall are glittering with golden light, the banners of Buddha flags are colorful, the sound of wooden fish, incense fluttering, and there is an endless stream of good men and women who burn incense and worship Buddha.
