Reminiscent of English pubs and Australian country pubs. Perfect for a solo traveller needing somewhere for a night to restock and recharge.
Staff are can-do and will communicate everything you need to know without being invasive at all.
The pub is busy downstairs and with good reason. The menu is diverse enough for most appetites. The common room absorbs sound and sports channels on.
Sticks to basics and succeeds. Other guests clearly get it too as all shared areas are kept clean and safe without any need for posting rules everywhere.
Definitely on my Melbourne list.

Female room had private curtains across the beds and individual power points and bed lights. Room was unexpectedly quiet. Staff were efficient at check in. Shared bathrooms were clean. Perfect location.
The manager was very nice, the hotel rooms are located at 2/F but he is willing to help with the luggage carry even without request.
The hotel location is fantastic, only 20-30 mins to Melbourne central (one tram only after you get the skybus from airport as well).
supermarket, restaurant, cafe, gelato shop around as well.
Clean, big room, nice toilet&restroom, nice kitchen, nice laundry.
Highly recommend that hotel, definitely my priority choice if I come to Melbourne again.
The only bad side is the room at 2/F that you have to carry your stuff up and down if you buy lots of things. And watch out especially in rainy day as it’s a metal stair.

I licked the rooms and it was nice to have separate bathrooms. Everything was great except the kitchen. This is of course due to other guests not cleaning up after themselves but in other hostels this is the same and I have never experienced it like this. I have a feeling that the cleaners only do a little bit so there is always one part of the kitchen/dinning area messy and gross. Other than that still would recommend because of the nice rooms and good breakfast (although again very messy).
I would've loved to give five stars for everything about this place but after our long day, we could not have a decent warm shower in a cold 16°C night. I called the reception with no answer and didn't feel like stepping out to the busy bar area to get someone's attention. I'm seeking at least a partial refund especially when I paid a premium price for the accommodation at this time of the year.
Lovely cabin to stay in , was very surprised how good these cabins are, very modern and has everything you need ....
Not much to do in the park itself but town is close by and has a few things for the kids, Great skateboard park and a few restaurants to choose from.... nice little drive to Grampians mountain area as well....

It’s a nice little place that did what it needed to do to keep a roof over my head. Slightly annoying that you have to use the bathroom/shower in seperate areas within the hotel but that was already known once paying for a room in advance.

Great for stopover or budget conscious traveller as location is great, near railway station, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Well managed but apparently little to no interaction from staff. Believe it would be great if staff is more proactive in nurturing relationships with guests so as to give it more life and meaning. Just a suggestion but overall, value for money.
With a stay at Douglas Riverside in Port Fairy, you'll be in the historical district, just a 1-minute walk from Port Fairy Coastal Reserve and 7 minutes by foot from East Beach. This aparthotel is 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from Moyne River and 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from Port Fairy History Centre.
Take in the views from a garden.
The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 6 individually furnished guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include desks and blackout drapes/curtains, and you can also request irons/ironing boards.

AAnonymous UserExcellent location for a stop by along the ocean road, 15 minutes drive to Apollo bay, quiet little property located at the foot of mountain and facing the sea, with fantastic ocean view and interesting rock and sand beach
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room of bay view is spacious with a small sitting room and all necessary utensils
People just need to bring necessary food and drink to cook for themselves as there is a bit distance from the town center
A little advice though: please provide air-conditioner for the accommodations as it’s pretty hot in summer in the room. It’s not comfortable and the guest cannot sleep well in the summer heat

丁丁The guy at the front desk is very good, my English is not good, he very enthusiastically recommended the surrounding food, drink and fun, and also helped me buy a fishing permit to catch crabs, and stay here next time.
KKiralee.DerrimanThis is a budget accomodation super close to southern cross station and very central to a lot of other locations. There is no reception and you have to call a number to be let in.
Downsides
1. No windows
2. Shower is hard to use and goes from extreme hot to extreme cold

MMark169Our trip to Bendigo was a last minute decision. The CBD and surrounding accommodation were booked out. Old Crown Motel across from the Town Hall in Hargreaves street had one room so we took it. We were pleasantly surprised, our room was renovated and spotless, had a nice bathroom and opening window. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The building has high ceiling throughout, huge original staircase (though carpeted) and is in the heart of the CBD.
