I was stranded in Barbados for a night so to that end, it did the job. It put me up. However, it left a lot to be desired. The highway right next to it is so loud so sleeping is really hard and not helped by the itchy thin bed sheet I had to cover myself with. The AC is so loud. The door has large gaps under and around it with the nose of the other residents and tv pouring in. The lock on the door also felt quite flimsy and I didn’t feel that safe. The bathroom was quite grubby. There was nothing to eat in the evening and also no breakfast even though I paid for breakfast in my booking. One of the staff was kind but the other was so intimidating. Luckily it’s probably the closest place to the airport(about ten minutes drive) so I was out of there sharp.

This hotel was exactly what we needed. From the beginning the service over the telephone was outstanding. Everyone was super helpful and kind over the phone. A special mention to Graham who arranged our taxi with Colin aka Taximan 246. Colin was right on time and took us safely to and from the airport. He was an amazing driver. We even hired him for other occasions. The staff in general was always wearing a smile and let me tell you CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The rooms were spotless and bed was comfortable. We were right on the Gap which made moving around even easier. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that isn't looking for luxury but is just needing a very warm clean reasonably priced accommodation in Barbados and on the St Lawrence Gap. Ok, it is in a good spot and rooms are ok, and the air con and wi-fi good, but was very disappointed that they were not interested in doing food. When we looked at reports on trip adviser when we booked, everyone remarked on the nice breakfast and the nice owners. But now it is up for sale and the owners were nowhere to be seen. There were some young people manning it and looked painful to have to do work, even when we booked for breakfast one morning, the chef did not turn up! I was also charged an extra 5% for paying by credit card which was not mentioned when booking. I would think twice about going there again, but saying that it will probably be under new ownership?
