This Jinjiang is also an old store in the city center. The location is very convenient. The stay is late. The front desk has upgraded the room. The service is good. The owner was very nice and upgraded my room. The service was also excellent. The hotel is quite new, the TV can project images, the air conditioning is a perfect temperature, and the shower has a strong flow. As soon as they arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff greeted them warmly, quickly checked in, and introduced the fun places around. They also brought health tea and greeted us to eat free hot roast sweet potatoes and popcorn. That night, I sent delicious chicken noodles and wontons. During the stay, no matter what the demand, they can respond quickly and super intimate. Really feel at home! In addition, the quality and abundance of breakfast are also beyond expectations.
The hotel is fully equipped and clean. Disposable toilet cover, body lotion on the bedside. There are also free fruit snacks. There are four history books to read, which is a surprise!
When we checked out, we sent us two bottles of hot mineral water, very intimate! The enthusiasm and care of the hotel service make customers feel warm and comfortable. It is definitely a super experience [strong] recommendation!

I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

GGuest UserThis stay really exceeded my expectations! I booked this place after seeing the recommendation in a book before the holiday. Through communication, I felt that the boss was very nice. He would patiently help me read the guide and give thoughtful suggestions on attractions and meals. The homestay is quiet and comfortable, the room is exquisitely decorated and warm, the bedding is soft and clean, and it is so comfortable to sleep~ The landlady is warm and thoughtful, and prepared local specialty snacks for us. The meals cooked at home are also very delicious, especially the fried meat with fresh bamboo shoots, which is super delicious. We also provided pick-up and drop-off services for our mountain climbing the next day. In the evening, we wanted to buy things at the entrance of the scenic spot. In order not to let us get scammed, we drove ourselves to take a detour to buy. When we left, we also took us to a delicious restaurant where locals go. The female boss really paid full marks for details. I strongly recommend it to friends who come to Huangshan to relax. I will definitely come again on my next trip❤️

The Anhui restaurant across the street, recommended by the owner, has great food and is affordable. The room is spacious with plenty of hot water, perfect for families, featuring one large bed and one 1.5-meter single bed. The decor has an industrial style. It's a very cost-effective option for a family of three. The owner's pick-up and drop-off service was also warm and punctual. 'Climb Huangshan and no other mountain is worth seeing' – what a perfect end to the trip!

GGuest UserA lovely opportunity to experience Chinese hospitality. I stayed with my cat and we felt very welcome. The owner is very attentive and looks well after his guests. It is good to know that the reception is in the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. A quiet area and house, just perfect if you need a good rest or travel with an anxious pet.

GGuest UserThe accommodation has a free shuttle to/from the station, definitely a plus! It's only a 10 minute walk, but 10 minutes with heavy luggage is something you could miss. It’s a bit inconvenient that you have to call them to actually book the shuttle, because I don’t speak Mandarin and they don’t speak English, so a call would not be possible, but maybe that’s something that Trip could improve on. When I checked out, the lady told me (through a translation app) that she could drop me off at the station, which I was very happy about.
When I checked in, I got a room upgrade as well. I was alone so I didn’t really need two beds, but the the huge room was very nice after all those bunk beds in hostels! They also offer a carpooling service to the ticket office/entrance of Huangshan for a good price! Just tell them the night before that you’d like to go to Huangshan and they will arrange a shuttle for you (mine was at 7 am in the morning and I just had to message them when I wanted to go back to the hotel in the evening).
They can offer sightseeing tips, they can recommend you something to eat. Just ask and they will help you. Sometimes it was just a bit hard to communicate, the woman uses a translation app which works just fine, but the man doesn’t, he tries to explain everything in Mandarin by using gestures, writing it down in Mandarin … but then it’s obviously not easy to understand each other. That aside, they’re both so sweet and helpful. I would stay there again, if I ever come back!
Side note, Trip does not give you the correct address of the hotel (in English). Whichever map app I used, it would send me to an open space in the street of the hotel. The hotel is actually located just a bit further next to a (very good!) restaurant, but just ask someone in the street and they will bring you to the reception of the hotel, if you can’t find it. 😉

GGuest UserI highly recommend this hostel to people who wanna climb Huangshan! In summary: Truly exceptional service by sweet owners, good location, good price, free luggage storage, help with pickup/drive to Huangshan north railway station.
First of, is very conveniently located close to the mountain (15min-ish walk from the bus station from which you take the bus to the entrance to the mountain).The owner is a very kind, sweet, and helpful lady.
Secondly, the service provided by the owner goes above and beyond! I came to climb the mountain with very little preparation ahead, and she helped me give me recommendation for a route and gear, which ai could by very cheaply at here little shop in the hostel (she sells different gears and food items, quite cheaply compared to elsewhere).
Also, she offers free luggage storage! I was staying on the mountain overnight, and she allowed me to store my handluggage at the hostel for free which I then picked up the afternoon the next day! This is quite nice if u plan to stay overnight on the mountain because most other places charge u for storing luggage.
Also, she also helps u with taxi-services! If u are coming from/heading towards Huangshan north station and need pickup, contact her and she will help u. When I needed to go to Huangshan north station, she called someone and arranged for me to be picked up st the hostel and driven there (carpool) for only 35 yuan!
Again, highly recommend this place! If I am coming back to Huangshan, I would 100% stay at this place again.

Un business familial et ça se voit. Toute la famille est impliquée. À quelques minutes des bus pour la montagne n'hésitez pas à échanger avec les gérants pour avoir tout les informations.
Magnifique vue sur la montagne. Je recommande le restaurant interne pour le petit déjeuner et pour un chaud repas en fin de journée. Petite épicerie sur place, idéale pour de l'eau avant d'escalader la montagne.
N'hésitez pas à demander aux propriétaires pour organiser votre retour à la gare avec un taxi local. Cela vous coûtera moins cher que n'importe quel Didi.
Le reste est classique et efficace. Grands lits, prises internationales, salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire. Et propriétaire joignable en cas de pépin. N'hésitez pas à prévenir si vous arrivez tardivement !

A family business, and it shows. The whole family is involved. Just a few minutes from the mountain buses, don't hesitate to chat with the managers to get all the information.
Magnificent view of the mountains. I recommend the in-house restaurant for breakfast and a hot meal at the end of the day. Small grocery store on site, ideal for water before climbing the mountain.
Don't hesitate to ask the owners to organize your return to the station by local taxi. It will cost you less than any Didi.
The rest is classic and efficient. Large beds, international sockets, bathroom with everything you need. And owner reachable in case of a problem. Do not hesitate to let them know if you are arriving late !
