We recently stayed at this hotel in Harbin and had a generally positive experience. The location is excellent—just a short 10-minute walk to the beautiful Saint Sophia Church Cathedral, which made exploring the city very convenient. It was especially convenient for us as we took an early morning bus to Volga Manor. Even in -20°C near Saint Sophia, getting to our bus stop was easy thanks to the hotel's location. We would like to specially mention the front desk staff on 3rd January. Although she didn’t speak English, she was extremely helpful and tried her best to assist us with navigation, which we really appreciated. The housekeeping team cleaned our room every day. They didn’t make the bed, leaving it as we had left it, which may have been the hotel’s policy, but everything else was kept clean and tidy. Overall, the hotel was comfortable, conveniently located, and staffed with helpful people—definitely a good choice for visiting Harbin.

Overall, there were aspects I truly appreciated, as well as areas where I believe improvements could be made. Firstly, I was very impressed by the variety of dining options available. The hotel offers numerous restaurants, including a thoughtful addition of a halal restaurant. The fresh fruit selection was also excellent and much appreciated. However, I found the hotel's distance from the metro station to be a bit inconvenient, especially for guests who prefer not to walk or who are traveling with heavy luggage. Additionally, I encountered a minor issue during my stay. I occasionally detected a faint smell of smoke in my room, seemingly coming from an adjacent room or the hallway. This somewhat affected the comfort of my stay. I hope the hotel can further enhance its management of smoking in public areas and guest rooms to ensure a fresher, healthier environment for all guests. Thank you for your hospitality. I look forward to experiencing even better facilities and services in the future.

The room was spacious enough for three people, giving us plenty of comfort during our stay. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of free bottled water, which was replenished daily. The highlight for me was definitely the breakfast buffet — a wide variety of tasty options that made mornings feel extra special. 🍳🥐 Overall, this hotel combines great location, comfort, and warm service. Overall decent stay with polite service, but room had some issues. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. They kindly offered complimentary luggage assistance, which was greatly appreciated. However, there were several problems with the room: 1. The toilet had an unpleasant odor that persisted throughout the stay. 2. The heating system was difficult to operate (or didn’t work properly), making the room uncomfortably cold. 3. Sound insulation was poor – noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms was clearly audible. 4. The room was located at the very end of a long corridor, which felt remote and inconvenient. 5. The path to the room was poorly lit at night, making it feel uneasy to walk back after dark. While the service was excellent, these room-related issues significantly affected comfort. Hopefully the management can address these points for future guests.

Stayed at Pai Hotel near Sofia Church and Central Street and it was a solid choice. Location is excellent for sightseeing, and getting around by Didi is easy. Staff were patient and helpful during check-in, even using a translator app. Room was simple but clean with daily housekeeping. Lobby has free hot water, a microwave, and luggage storage. Heating was good during winter. Just note that rooms facing the train can be noisy.

I rarely write such detailed reviews, but this trip to Harbin, especially the arrangements in Xuegu, was truly a highlight. This guesthouse we booked was perfect for enjoying the snow. Just 30 meters from the entrance, there's a huge snowy field, and behind it, a mountain for hiking to see rime ice. The guesthouse is newly renovated but has no unpleasant smell. The room was spacious, very clean, and soundproofing was excellent; even with fireworks going off outside, I couldn't hear a thing, so I slept wonderfully for both nights. For such an affordable price, breakfast was included. The sweet potato porridge was delicious and fragrant, and there were also eggs, steamed buns, pickles, melon seeds, sugar tangerines, and frozen pears – all you can eat. Plus, there were free fireworks displays in the evening! The landlady was incredibly warm and helpful, answering all our questions and even providing us with lots of travel tips. Both the adults and kids had a fantastic time during our two days in Xuegu. I hope to come back again and have already recommended it to my friends!

The only good thing about this place is its excellent location, right by Saint Sophia Cathedral. Everything else is very mediocre, worth maybe 100 RMB for a guesthouse. The price was significantly inflated during the Ice and Snow World festival. It was -25 degrees Celsius in Harbin, but the highest temperature in my room was only 21 degrees, and I woke up freezing at night. After complaining to the owner, they finally brought an oil heater on the last day, and only then did the room warm up.

This hotel is absolutely crucial for anyone with flight delays or early morning departures. The rooms are a bit compact, but the ability to get decent rest without even leaving the airport is incredibly valuable – after all, nobody enjoys the traditional 'sleeping at the airport' experience. The wake-up call service from the front desk was spot-on, highly recommend! Prices are reasonable, and there are various room types to choose from. If you only need a short rest, you can opt for a single pod, which is budget-friendly for just a quick nap. For early morning flights like mine, I checked in at night and chose a room with a private bathroom. It's a bit more expensive than a pod, but the convenience of not having to go to shared public restrooms is a huge plus, and being further inside, it's relatively quiet. I really hope similar facilities become available at major airports across the country; it would be so convenient for travelers like us.

What's really great is the free parking available in the hotel's backyard, which is incredibly rare and a huge plus in the central street area. This is a real boon for anyone traveling by car.
