I loved this hostel, the owner is too friendly, always with the best smile. The room is super nice and clean, the truth is one of the best I've ever been to. I had the opportunity to eat several times in this hostel and the food was delicious, not to mention the Chinese breakfasts. Thanks for all 😀

It's a wonderful new hostel; I loved it in every way. Starting with the friendliness of the owner and staff, they always offered me something to eat without me even having to ask. Likewise, when I needed information about the city, they went out of their way to find it for me if they didn't know it. It's also very affordable, but you don't compromise on quality. It's well worth it; the hostel's quality is top-notch. The location is perfect, right next to the city walls, and there are restaurants, supermarkets, and other amenities nearby. The hostel is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I extended my stay by several days to explore the city and surrounding areas at my own pace. The beds are large, with good lighting, power outlets, shelves, and privacy (keeping in mind that it's a hostel and you share a room). The bathrooms and showers are also spacious and clean. There are also large, free lockers for storing your belongings. The hostel also has a cinema. Thank you so much for everything.

Very nice hotel inside the walls of the Ancient City. Owners didn't speak English but they managed to communicate with translator tools, they picked me and take me back to train station and provided me with good advise on places to visit. Room was warm and clean and decoration was really nice. Thanks so much

The third night of staying, the traffic is more convenient to go back and forth, sometimes the bus travel, sometimes sharing bicycles, the next two nights are a few yuan higher than the first night, I don't know why, it is not a weekend. Passengers who want quiet are preferred.

The room is clean and hygienic, with all facilities available. The surrounding environment is good, very close to the scenic spots, you can go there on foot. There are many restaurants around, making it convenient to eat. Special praise is given to several front desk staff at the hotel. Their service is warm and thoughtful, and they answer all questions. Room service staff are attentive.

This hotel is amazing! While not near a subway station, it's easily accessible by taxi and close to restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a good sleep. The front desk service was friendly, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Excellent value for money, I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic lodging. Best value I have had in dozens of stays. Clean, classy and large room with huge window to the main streets. Nice little hip cafe in the same hallway on the same floor. Nice bathroom, great bed. The location is also fine, even though it is a kilometer or so to the city walls. The naming Old town guesthouse isn’t much correct, but it doesn’t matter for the overall impression of this hotel.

The hotel is at the heart of pedestrian street of the night market. If you enjoy checking out the night market, this hotel is perfectly located. My room was facing the street/night market, it is not noisy if window is closed. And the street becomes quiet after 11pm. It was all perfect for me.

Facilities: Very new, with foam hand soap Hygiene: Very neat and clean, but it has a bit of smell due to the new decoration Environment: The surrounding environment is quite noisy, but the windows of the B&B are double-layered, which is basically not affected by the inside, but not so clear by the road, where large trucks pass by Service: When I went there, they took the initiative to help upgrade the room type, arranged parking in the backyard, and introduced that there is a place to eat next to it, but you have to drive out to have breakfast, the B&B does not have breakfast

Due to a last-minute change of plans, I arrived in Pingyao Ancient City after 5 PM. Since it was the off-season, hotels in the ancient city were easy to book and quite affordable. As cars can only park in the parking lot outside the ancient city, I called the guesthouse upon arrival, and the owner came to pick me up on an electric scooter. The owner was incredibly welcoming. After checking in, he gave me a map and showed me how to explore the ancient city. The guesthouse is a traditional 'one-entry' courtyard, with wooden doors and windows. The room's decor isn't over-the-top, and it features a 'kang' (heated brick bed), which is a unique touch. Toiletries and towels are disposable, and the room has both underfloor heating and air conditioning, so warmth wasn't an issue at all.
