CCamDomKinFrom the entrance there are stairs down to reception. Check-in was fast, required a written signature. Receptionist was polite and gave us easy directions to our room and the exits. We got a ground floor room which was up a flight of stairs since reception is in the basement. Vending machines were available in reception. Room door used a physical key lock. Room was clean, minus a few deep stains in the carpet and screw holes in the bathroom from previous fittings. Bathroom was spotless, hot shower with great water pressure (almost too much haha). The double bed was okay; duvet, sheets and pillows were comfortable but the mattress was a bit bumpy.
Bring ear plugs! Doors in the corridor slammed quite loud as people were passing through in the morning.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Price for the room felt a little high at £62 for 1 night, but you're paying for the location. There was a Q-Park car park literally across the road (plus a Tesco and Home Bargains), the hotel is surrounded by bars and venues in Ropewalks, and it's a 10-min walk from Lime Street train station and Liverpool ONE.
VVadim ZahharovPlace was exactly as advertised. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying if your trip is short.
As for downsides, hostel has limited number of bathrooms and showers - this can cause issues if you have to leave quickly. The ventilation in rooms is basically non-existent, and rooms house up to 10 people, so I’ll leave the air quality to your imagination. Sound isolation is not great, so if somebody has a good time in the kitchen you’ll going to hear that. Bring earplugs if you are light sleeper. Cleanliness is subjective, I’m not that picky, but having crumbs in my bed was disconcerting. Some sinks have filters with hair in them. Haven’t seen anything that would be actually harmful like mold or hygiene products, so that is good.
Location is good. Liverpool is not that big and you’ll get to city centre in under an hour even with most leisurely pace. Do visit the cathedral on your way there. I haven’t seen any shops in immediate vicinity though, but I didn’t need them, so maybe you find some if you look. Bus stop for airport is fairly close, so that is a plus as well.
Overall, this is a hostel. You can sleep there, store your stuff and maybe have a chat with interesting people. Price is fair for experience.
SSpenceryoujiThe room is quite big, the hotel decoration is very british, the facilities are very old, the sprinkler is slow, and the sprinkler chain in my room is rotten. This hotel is in the village, quite far from the city center, and it takes about 25 minutes to take a taxi to the center of Liverpool. The room facilities are old, the front desk is strong, the kitchen and restaurant waiter, breakfast must go down half an hour in advance or it will take a long time to eat. Overall, it is barely possible.
GGuest UserGreat place for an overnight stay. Basic facilities but clean and comfortable. Easy check in and friendly staff. Very close to the city centre with a cheap car park across the road (£6 for 24 hours) Would definitely stay here again
GGuest UserWifi is not available and there is a problem with the connection, which is the only disadvantage.
The transportation is super convenient, and the breakfast package is a major feature.
Opposite the train station and subway station.
AAlejandro MI booked this hostel because of its price and the central location, without a lot of expectations. I didn't realize however that it was located in the busiest and loudest night light street out Liverpool, so this is something that travelers should be aware of. Nonetheless, the rooms have a decent sound isolation and I believe the staff will provide you ear plugs if you request it. Overall, a generic hostel where you just need to be aware of its busy location.
GGuest UserFabulous couple my Freind was really poorly in the morning they were so helpful in helping me get him down the stairs and helping him into the car I can not thank them enough
Stayed a few times here and the room was great with a terrace onto the garden so ideal for us with my 2 grandchildren and to have a coffee in the morning outside
Will always pick this hotel on vacation to Southport
Thank you again to the owners for all your help and support today
Plus very grateful for changing my room to the garden room as well 100% given for this hotel and the owners 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
GGuest UserOur stay at Cozy Place Apartments couldn’t have been more perfect. We can’t thank Julie and Paul enough, they went above and beyond. The apartment was immaculately clean, the choice of snacks and breakfast were amazing and the bed was so comfortable. We also used Tony’s Taxi, (whose number is in the kitchen!) and he was just a pure gentleman. Check in was straight forward and close to the centre. Cozy Place Apartments deserves more than a 10* rating. This will be our only choice for future trips to Liverpool. Thank you SO much.
PPootleA fantastic place to stay! Warm, modern and welcoming. All
The staff are lovely and friendly. Our private en suite room and bathroom was spacious, clean and tidy, the reception area modern and welcoming too. Car parking available if you need it. The staff even made us a pizza at 11pm as we arrived back tired, wet and cold from being at the match.
The best bit was the breakfast, it was amazing and in a separate dinjng area. Full choice of traditional hot English breakfast or continental. Fresh coffee and tea and juices too.
