We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip.
Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us.
The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!
The room was small, but it accommodated our two single beds. It was very close to Skogal Falls, within walking distance. I must commend its shower room; it had a very large hot water supply.
Beautiful guesthouse like a picture!
It was better to have a clean interior and a very friendly host.
There were too many free foods, especially yogurt was the best. I bought it every day during the rest of my trip ~
I rested well and will definitely go again if I go to Iceland again !!
Check in by yourself, the main door is not locked (but it is very heavy, you need to pull it hard), the room has a password lock; parking is convenient, you can park on the roadside (free) or in the hotel's own parking lot; the kitchen is fully equipped, but unfortunately there are not many tables and chairs; there is a small lounge, but not much public space overall; it is quite clean; the biggest drawback may be that the room is not big.
Book 2 months in advance, the price is 487 yuan more expensive than the temporary reservation, so don't book too early in advance, there are many rooms, not afraid of no room at all
We liked the room; it was well-decorated, had a comfortable temperature, and a small seating area. The bathroom was a good size.
The breakfast, although not a buffet, seemed very complete.
For room groups, in our case for four people, there was a coffee maker and kettle (with capsules and a creamer in your room, as well as tea).
We didn't use the restaurant for dinner, but it's a plus to have it there.
Check-in and check-out were very convenient.
Loved this hostel. Kitchen was very clean. There was a separate area for toaster, sandwich maker and a fancy coffee machine. There was complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. The fridge was huge. It was a Liebherr. The outdoor area even had a BBQ machine. The bathrooms contained both showers and WC so it can be a wait in the mornings. There is a towel warmer in bathroom. The bunk beds can do with more privacy.

HHimynameisalexGreat place to stay, if you plan to explore the southern coast of Iceland. The staff is very friendly, it’s clean and warm, and I always liked coming home After a day of exploring this amazing country. The only downside is the equipment of the shared „kitchen“: microwave, fridge, refrigerator, water boiler, but no stove or oven. Apart from that, it’s a great stay 🫶🏻 I’ll book again the next time I’m in the area!
GGuest UserThere was a small incident when we checked in. We didn't know how to get the password. With the help of Ctrip, we found the landlord. The landlord's smile resolved our regrets. The landlord also gave us a box of cakes, which made us feel warm in this strange place. The mattress is comfortable, the kitchen is large and fully equipped, and the stay experience is still pleasant. We also saw the aurora in the sky here. This is a good place to watch the aurora, with little light and beautiful scenery in Beijing!

GGuest UserThe service did not give full marks because of self-check-in, no on-site service, phone and email contact is still very smooth. .
Unexpectedly, the hotel is opposite the XHS net red lobster shop. It is very clean. It is very quiet. Although it is full, the guests have a very small voice. The shared bathroom is not expected to be so clean. It seems that the quality of the guests is very high. We also cleaned up the kitchen used for breakfast. It feels good.
GGuest UserEasy to find. Beautiful views from the farm property. Friendly ducks, geese and. rooster to greet you in the morning. The room is clean and comfortable for the one night we stayed. Easy checkin and departure. The rooms are much nicer than the pictures on line. I would recommend it for the price.
