We really enjoyed the full Japanese Inn experience at Ebisuya Ryokan. This means you have a private room for sleeping but shared facilities for toilet and bathing. There are also very comfortable, relaxed shared lounge and reading areas. The whole Ryokan was beautifully appointed with traditional Japanese furniture. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and despite our limited Japanese we managed to communicate effectively. The room was large and beautifully appointed. The traditional bedding was laid out for us during dinner, which was served downstairs in the restaurant/dining area. The dinner was filling and delicious with an emphasis on seafood. The onsite onsens were glorious after a day travelling and they are not segregated by sex and can be locked so you can have a private onsen with your partner or family. Breakfast was also sumptuous and very traditional Japanese. If you would like to visit a less travelled part of Japan I would recommend this ryokan. Great access to the beautiful Sadamisaki Peninsula. The local town also has some great cafes!

Modern, clean and very nice facility! Guesthouse Tonari can be highly recommended. It’s very clean, the facilities are modern, the beds are confortable and the host very serviceminded and speaks well English. The guesthouse is located a little off the mall biking track, however it’s easy to reach with a small detour. If you are exploring the Omishima Island its very convenient. Please do note that this is a guesthouse and not a hotel hotel, so the review is based on this. There is a small kitchen with what you need for preparing food. There is also a fridge so easy to bring food. Please note that there are not so many restaurants and shops in the vicinity, however the host can provide information. Best to bring some snacks and drinks. There are space for parking bikes.

2024.7月以来2回目の利用でした。 多々羅大橋のたもとにある大三島BSからは島の反対側ですが、バスで移動しました。バス停からはすぐです。 近くにマーレ・グラッシア大三島さんがあって温泉に入れるし、大三島ブリューワリーさんはすぐ近くなのが気に入っています。 大山祇神社も徒歩で行けて、朝の静かで凛とした空気の中でお参り出来ました。 ランドリーやキッチンもあるので、長期滞在やサイクリングの宿に最適だと思います。 オーナーご夫妻も気さくで、また大三島に行く時には利用したいです。

It is located right in front of the Dogo Onsen Main Building. It is a quiet, old building, but it is well-maintained. I don't think there is a better place to stay in Matsuyama for a solo traveler. It is a dormitory, but I couldn't sleep well because there was someone who kept coughing. I think a private room might be better for those who are very sick.

Great spot !! lovely preprepared snacks. View is amazing and design is top notch. Recommend to stay one night or if you have time definitely stay more!

This hotel is practically a Ross the street from Imabari Station and a great place to start or finish the Shimanami Kaido. Staff were friendly, and you got a free welcome drink. There is also a decent breakfast available. The room was a clean and comfortable space. I would stay here again if I visit Imabari again!

Stepping off the train platform, I found the hotel just across the street. The amenities were superb; convenience stores, train station, bus stop, tourist information center, and bicycle rentals were all conveniently located together. However, it was surprisingly quiet. The room was larger than I expected, and there was a public bathhouse with drinks available for free. If I come to Imabari again, I'll definitely choose this hotel again.

I’m very delighted to write a review on this hotel. It’s super good! The location is perfect: close to JR station and to Iyo tetsu to explore the city. The hotel provides everything you need and extra: different types of shampoo, body cream etc… I really enjoyed breakfast: it has traditional Japanese dishes, so delicious!! Would like to get back to Matsuyama and stay at this hotel again

wonderful experience I had during my stay at Setouchiso. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making it the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. I especially love the dinner and breakfast, it’s so delicious. The location was perfect quiet yet conveniently enjoyed the peaceful surroundings where I could relax. Thank you once again for making my stay so memorable.

This a very nice hostel to stay at while doing the Shimanami Kaido. It’s close by a famous temple and several restaurants. The staff is friendly, the facilities are very clean and they have free pour over coffee, which is amazing, frankly. I stayed longer because I wanted to spend more time on the island.
