My stay here was fine! 15min bus ride from Kyoto station was very handy. And it’s right around the corner from Kiyamizu-dera temple; a popular tourist spot, and a great place to hit if you haven’t already got it on your itinerary. The only real issue - which is colouring my review right now - is that I got pretty awful sleep here. Top bunks don’t have a ‘roof’ covering the bed, so light and noise is more disruptive than usual. Basic facilities, nice common areas on the first two floors for those feeling social, and has a laundry and dryer (which was great for me needing to do two weeks of travel laundry, LOL). In any case, would recommend! Just be aware of your sleep.

The capsule shop's location is incredibly convenient. It's located in one of the busiest areas outside, yet the shop itself is incredibly quiet.
The service was professional and friendly, and the restrooms, capsules, and everything else were clean.
The only downside was that the area where you could chat freely was incredibly small. The rooftop area was either too hot or unusable due to rain.

Very chill and comfortable stay, WiFi can be a little slow at times and you have to pay for your towels etc, other than that the staffs are all super friendly, speaks good English too.
It was beautiful.
Amenities are systems that bring the necessary amount from the receptionist. There was a refrigerator, deodorant and pot in the room.
It's quiet because it faces a narrow road.
5 minutes walk from Omiya station ~ 10 minutes.
There are shops around Omiya station, such as MacDonald, Matsuya, the king of gyoza, gast, CoCo, etc., so it is not troublesome for restaurants. It is convenient because seven eleven and FamilyMart are around Omiya station. There was a supermarket called Fresco.
FUGA STAY, true to the meaning of its name “fuga” (elegance and serenity), is a refined and peaceful hideaway tucked within the heart of Kyoto.
I personally love hotels that are hidden away from the main road yet still extremely convenient—just a 3 to 5-minute walk from Omiya Subway Station and numerous Kyoto city bus stops.
If you’re into cycling or using e-scooters, there’s a Luup rental station right in front of the hotel.
The room is spacious and very comfortable for a solo traveler. It comes with two double beds that you can easily move together to form a super king-size bed. The bathroom is also large, with no sense of tightness.
The front desk staff speaks Japanese and Chinese, so communication is smooth and easy.
Honestly, I’m hesitant to praise FUGA too much—if too many people discover it, the price might go up!
P.S. Just around the corner is Tendō Shrine, only a 2-minute walk away. It felt like a beautiful encounter by fate.
FUGA STAY
FUGA STAY,

The location is great—you can walk to the Gion in 20-30 minutes, and the train station is easily accessible the other way. The host and his mother are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. There's a kitchen where you can make tea, coffee, or even cook anything—the tea and coffee are delicious. The house is clean, and it's pleasant and peaceful. Carrying a suitcase up the stairs can be a bit of a hassle, but these are minor inconveniences compared to the service, peace, and comfort provided in this house.

The hotel is new with great facilities! It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit (Kyoto Station has two exits: Central and Hachijo). The location is excellent, quiet yet central! The room is spacious at 16 square meters, easily accommodating two large suitcases, and there's even a table with two chairs inside so you can eat in the room, which is fantastic! It's also very convenient for those joining day trips around Kyoto, as the tour bus meeting point is right opposite the Hachijo Exit.

To be set early, there are very few hotels near Kyoto, clean, beds are good, convenient around, eating and drinking, there are public bathrooms, the whole hotel is several floors, the price is OK, but when there are many people, you can't book a room. It is recommended to book it at once.

This hostel's rooms are located on the first floor, making them ideal for those traveling with large luggage. The rooms are spacious and have their own private toilet, though bathrooms are shared with other guests. Delicious porridge is provided each morning, adding a warm touch. A washing machine is also available (600 yen) for extended stays. Located within a local wet market, the hostel offers a quiet and authentic local atmosphere, offering an ideal combination of convenience and comfort.

The soundproofing is poor. While the hotel's rules state quiet at night, I was still seeing people washing up in the hallway at one or two in the morning during my stay. The multi-person rooms on the first floor seem to have better soundproofing, so consider booking for a larger group. However, for the price, it's a great place to stay during your trip, and the mattress and quilt are quite comfortable. The nearby Hakusanyu bathhouse is clean and very comfortable. There are vending machines right outside the hotel, and a convenience store is a five-minute walk away.

Amazing
MMumutu0417My Kyoto trip was particularly satisfying with this Kyoto townhouse. It had a garden, a private hot spring bath, and was brimming with Japanese charm. The breakfasts were especially delightful, with a wide variety and different dishes each day. After breakfast, there was also a traditional Kyoto matcha and carefully selected sweets; the owner even patiently explained the proper way to drink the matcha.
It's a bit far from the subway, but there are several bus stops nearby, making it quite convenient. Strolling along Kyoto's charming streets and discovering hidden gems of little shops was also a delightful experience.

GGuest UserVery comfortable, spacious room, a sofa, a large clothes, washing machine, shampoo, clothes towels, clothes, hair dryer, ready to go to many The day is recommended here, not far from the train station, there are many restaurants, very close to the safety of the bottom, a little narrow, a very large soup, there are many restaurants, a little narrow, the cover is a little narrow.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located on a higher ground, and there are no buildings blocking it in front. The view is very open. I stayed in this hotel for two days. The breakfast is slightly different every day and will not be repeated.
GGuest UserAlthough it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

GGuest UserThe owner is kind and the facilities are very clean. The bathroom, sink, and shower are conveniently located. However, the stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors are a bit steep and narrow. Please note this if you are carrying a carrier. Bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes, and toothbrush cups are provided. There is also a 2,000 won coupon for a nearby hot spring bathhouse, so be sure to get it and go! There is a Ministop 5 minutes away on foot, and you can also rent a bike!
GGuest UserSuitable for 1-2 people. The environment in the room is good. The poor sound insulation is understandable, but it is not in the downtown area and is very quiet on weekdays. It is only about 30 minutes' walk from Ninsanenzaka. You can walk there in the early morning to take pictures of the deserted scenery.
