Last time I couldn't stay at the Sanjo Festival because it was full, but this time there was a vacancy and it was saved. I always use it, but there is no complaint.
It was in a residential area but very quiet, clean and easy to spend.
The reservation bath was very clean and there were amenities.
Others were written, but I was grateful to have you change the towels for consecutive nights.
And the paper towels in the bathroom were gone, but they were not replenished.
I think it is cleaner if the paper cup installed can be removed automatically.
I wrote color 々, but I am satisfied with the conscientious price setting.
Thank you.
The village listing is a cold tourist city, but the tourism resources are quite rich. Libo is a representative hot spring town here. The hotel can see the sunset of the Sea of Japan when soaking in the hot springs.
Above all, the breakfast was very delicious. Each one was elaborate and polite, and the taste was very delicious, and I was very satisfied and ate too much! I would like to use it again.
The hotel may refuse to add breakfast because the number of people is full. Considering the distance from the hotel to the restaurants (such as Matsuya to cross the bridge to get there, 711 convenience store is also quite a distance), it is recommended to consider carefully whether to not have breakfast when booking the hotel. The hotel also seems to offer free bicycle loan service, which seems to have at least five cars.
Keiko was a lovely host. She was super friendly and welcoming to the area. She was available for any questions we had and was also able to provide a freshly cooked breakfast/dinner at a very small cost. There was free parking behind the accommodation which was great as we had our own entry/exit after hours.
The room was spacious, but while the heating wasn't very strong, the bedding was extremely warm and comfortable.
Would be more than happy to stay here again any time we're in the area!
Grandpa and grandma are very helpful and friendly. They are always trying to work it out. They don’t speak English but we used translation with them and we gonna come back again.
A 120-year-old shop with 150-year-old bonsai-like old trees in the backyard~ The condition of the house can be imagined. The floor will creak and creak. If you sleep lightly, you should go to a big hotel, but if you die of sleep, maybe I won’t mind ´∀`, but the degree of satisfaction varies from person to person and will not be influenced by the accommodation~
The toilet is clean and tidy with an electric toilet lid, which should be newly renovated. The toilets and bathrooms are shared. The boss is very nice and talkative. Behind the house is Lake Kamo. He also took us to feed the seagulls and swans. Those who need a car will drive them to the car rental office. It's a 7 or 8 minute walk from Ryotsu Port. It's easy to find.
In a tatami room, there are two-layer mattresses for sleeping. Sometimes the quilt will be delivered later to help the guests make the bed. If the room is large, it may be put in advance.
Very much beyond expectations. This is a small traditional hotel, every detail is very attentive, the staff is very very intimate, and the breakfast and dinner are very good, the scenery here is also beautiful, and the starry sky can be seen at night. Very suitable for long rest and relaxation. The only downside is that Wi-Fi coverage is slightly worse.

AAKLTGreat value for money, very satisfied overall.
1) Convenience store nearby
2) Ski rental shop nearby
3) Acceptable walking distance to the Shinkansen station
4) Daily room cleaning service
5) The owner is very kind and friendly
6) Laundry room and drying facilities for clothes and ski gear available
7) Would be even more perfect for ski enthusiasts if they had a car
GGuest UserThe lady at the counter was so accommodating. Provided everything we needed and was happy to help in any other way. Spoke a little English but used google translate to help. We couldn't use the dining room for dinner, I think that had to be booked in advance. There was only one or two other places open in town at 7.30pm for dinner. So wasn't many options. The room had stains all over the floor, but otherwise the beds were clean, and comfortable being on the harder springy side, and the bathroom was very clean. The onsen was amazing. The room was a good size, and had extra toilets down the hall if we needed them. The Japanese breakfast that was provided was fantastic. We only stayed one night because we were walking the next day just near there otherwise would have stayed in a bigger town, because of the limited outside facilities. But for the price and it was convenient it was good. Would stay again if I had to, but otherwise would go for a bit nicer place.
GGuest UserTabataya is a 100+ years family run rest house for skiing/snowboarding at myoko suginohara! The host only speaks Japanese but they are very warm and helpful nonetheless. Ski passes can be bought from them at a discount. I brought my own snowboard so I dont know about rentals. We used yamato transport to courier the boards to and fro the airport and tabataya. The host helped us with arranging the return courier to airport 😊. Although it was slightly pricey but there was value for what we paid. Meals are available at a fixed price of about 3500yen and the chef decides the menu! Although the bathrooms are shared, they are very very clean. Lastly, it is worth noting that the nearby Asakusa onsen ski resort will have more food options and night skiing compared to suginohara. It's my first time experiencing Japow and im glad Myoko is part of this experience 😊 (one of the longest and widest beginner runs)
AAlvinI came here during summer for Fuji Rock. In all honesty, it’s alright, the room is clean & the beds were comfortable, aircon works. Don’t expect much from the room, as there’s only 1 power socket in the room, so we had to share. It’s really just for sleeping.
The shower is an open bathroom common in Japan & shared toilet situation, so just take note for travellers who aren’t comfortable for that kind of thing. But the good thing is that the shower area was clean, water is hot & great. Towels are provided although it’s a really small and thin one.
There’s a free large area for parking near the place so that’s good. I’d think it would be great for winter as it’s right next to the gondola, but we didn’t experience that.
GGuest UserI chose it with rice and source hanging water in Uonuma.
Anyway, the hot water was good. The hot springs that you can enter while cooling in the open air are exceptional. My skin became chewy and I was happy with the smoothness.
The building is old but the interior is clean and I like it with fashionable furniture. I also like the service between reasonable distances. The rice for dinner was as good as expected and delicious. However, the set meal was fried meat and fish and fried fish oyster set meal, but it was heavy for me. But all the side dishes were delicious with 4! I thought that there was an attractive okazu in the single item, and if there was a set of rice miso soup side dishes, I could assemble my favorite dinner with a single item 〜.
It was a nice inn where you can see the rice fields after harvesting and the autumn mountains 々. The heron was taking a rest on the roof.
SStabackThis place is just 5 minutes away from ishiuchi maruyama ski gondola. Great value place to stay which is easily bookable.
Owner provided transfer to and from echigo yuzawa station. Very friendly and even helped to carry the heavy luggage up the car and to our room. No lift access which is very common in smaller places like these.
Two private bathhouse available for sharing.
Rental price is great and he took great effort in ensuring fit. Also discounted gondola prices available.
Breakfast was delicious which was included too.
Overall owner and his wife are very warm to all the customers. Would stay here again!
GGuest UserWe had a really great time here! The hotel has a charming vibe and the tatami room was great. Everything you can expect from the room.
Location for skiing is also perfect. Just walk outside, cross the street and take the lift up the mountain.
Ski pass is cheap and so is the ski gear you can get. Everything is functional and great for a 1 day adventure. But definitely not good for experienced people.
If you are arriving by bus, take food with you. There are no shops and only 1 restaurant that closes at 17.

BbridgelancerThe location is near the Mitsumata ropeway station with all the associated benefits and deficiencies of the location. Nonetheless, there is a receptionalist Chris who would arrange transportation at times to other ski resorts or JR station. This really helps.
Facility is functional but not extravagant.
In general it is a good place to stay if Kagura ski resort is open and you are okay with not going to other ski resorts for the stay.
SSamuel JasonI really enjoyed my stay! The host was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The place is about a 15-minute drive from the city center, so it’s not right in the middle of things, but the amazing view totally makes up for it. It’s such a nice spot to chill and take in the scenery. Plus, the WiFi was really fast, which was a big win for me. Would definitely stay here again!
