The hotel I stayed at the other day had an excellent balance of location, facilities, and service. It was easily accessible, about a five-minute walk from the station, and there were many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I slept soundly. The amenities were sufficient, and the temperature of the water in the large public bath was especially perfect, so I was able to relax. The staff were also very polite and helpful in providing tourist information and local information. The only thing that could be improved was that the breakfast area was a little crowded, but overall it was a very satisfying stay.

A really great hotel and close to the bus station, markets and restaurants. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights when the flood happened and the host helped me when the money was not available due to the Internet outage and the demolition of the ATM. I thank them for their good cooperation.

The price of the Youth Hostel, the service of the hotel. The location is a bit biased, but it takes ten minutes to walk to Kangping Lake and more than 20 minutes to the Buddha Tooth Temple. The facilities are very new and there is a balcony to see the scenery of Kangti. There seems to be a bar on the top floor, very lively, and the end of ten o'clock on time does not affect the rest. In short, it is very cost-effective and worth booking
Too kind. The owner of the inn was raining on arrival and was very cold. I was able to relax very much by welcoming you with an umbrella and recommending a shower to the big tree. We also had a great lunch set despite the night stay. I am very grateful that the tea set unique to the plateau is very delicious. Thank you very much.

In terms of price/performance ratio, it is great value! highly recommended! The boss is a young man, he is enthusiastic, and his English is very good. My English is very poor. The boss also taught me to use WeChat translator to communicate! I booked it for two days, because I didn't understand a lot when I first arrived in Sri Lanka, so I always troubled the boss on WeChat at any time. The boss also helped me see through the calling card traffic scam. It is really good that the boss is patient! Fortunately, I have chosen his home many times. In the morning, I also asked you the choice of breakfast food for the next day, very carefully. The environment is at the level of a domestic roadside hotel, but the service is at the level of a five-star hotel. There is air-conditioning, a fan, the bath water is hot enough, and the toilet, bath, and face are separated! When I left, I called us a tutu car, the price was so cheap!

We stayed one night here. Very friendly and nice staff. Mr. Bandara and his team welcomed us warmly. A lovely and quiet place and beautiful garden. We were served with very good breakfast, bread, butter , jam, sausages, omelette, coffee or tea, fruits, juice and 2 local dishes ( sambol and Dal curry with rice). We would like to say thank you. There is coffee , tea and kettle in the room and a bottle of water too.
Overall, the hot water is not good, no electric kettle is provided. Eating is OK, the music played in the restaurant is great, score. The price is determined, and the overall can still be smooth.
My wife and I stayed here during our trip to Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the great ratings on Google.
The location is a little outside of town, so you’ll need to take a tuktuk to get there. It costs less than USD3, and honestly, riding through Nuwara Eliya on a tuktuk was part of the fun.
The guesthouse itself feels like a large bungalow with several rooms, designed with a classic British-style interior. Our room was one floor up, not very big but cozy and just right for our stay. The highlight was the balcony that faced the lake, where we could watch the sunrise in the morning. At night, the temperature dropped to around 13°C, so we didn’t even need air conditioning. The water heater worked well, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable.
One thing I wished for was indoor slippers. The floor got very cold at night, so I had to wear socks, which was manageable but slippers would have been nicer.
The caretaker was warm and welcoming. He greeted us with hot tea on arrival, which felt amazing in the chilly weather. Breakfast was simple but good. Since we checked out early, he prepared an American-style breakfast for us.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with beautiful views, kind hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere.

GGuest UserThe owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely.
Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source.
The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue.
Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat.
The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross).
The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up.
The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good.
Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location.
Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!

VVasiliy LozovoyGood hotel, excellent location, very convenient – Next to Gregory and Victoria parks, everything in step-to-step access; in the hotel except the room, there is a common space where you can conveniently accommodate and rest.
From the window of the room, the view of the whole valley of the city of Nuvara-Elia is open.
I have stayed in this hotel for five days.
 Very comfortable, quietly quietly!
Welcome staff: I was always helped by the council and answered questions.
In the room there is everything necessary, even a teapot and the possibility of drinking tea!
CChunTravelsA lovely stay! It’s been a little chilly in late July, the room has a heater and a thick blanket making my stay cosy. The wifi signal has been great - in my previous accommodations they would be unstable. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, I was able to do my laundry here, which was perfect as I’ve just over half way in my time in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was well balanced and healthy. The location is perfect, it’s right next to the main road. There’s a big supermarket nearby as well the city centre. For hiking you can easily access the Single Tree hill. Thank you for having me.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ganthera and the staff were friendly however the room itself could have been improved. For example, there was distinct black marks on the walls and some mould in the bathroom but we understand the climate is humid (also some dead bugs). Bed area was clean and satisfactory and we slept well.
The front door is locked at night so beware if needing to leave early - staff are not attentive to this.
Whilst we did not use the pool area, the view was nice and pool looked good. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not come back.
雷雷With a six-year-old child, the big bed is enough to sleep, very quiet, the bath water is a little small but enough. The scenery in the yard is very good, the opposite is the mountain, after the night, the stars are a little bit, and the family lights up. The decoration at home is elegant and I like it very much. There are two very handsome black dogs. The landlord is very graceful, the service is very intimate, breakfast and dinner are here to eat, very satisfied, the landlord will sit next to help you introduce the local food, will not help you to replace the taste. Especially the dinner is just New Year's Eve, the New Year's Eve dinner of the Lankan family in the exotic country, there is no flavor, a very satisfactory stay.

GGuest UserGreat place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.
GGuest UserMy room has a large bed, shower, toilet, towel, and electric fan.I could sleep comfortably.
The owner is very kind.
His wife made a dinner for me.
It's delicious. I had papaya for the first time.
Their daughters are cute and bright.
I had a good time.
