Location was great, n quite an Instagram-able place. Hotel was repurposed from a old n dilapidated building. Internal industrial design added character. But the cleanliness wasn't up to mark. The room also smell of dank n sewer-ish smell and time. Overall, for a 1 night driving stop over stay, it was adequate. But anymore would not suggest.
Beverly Hotel

Room is quite spacious. Bed is firm and comfortable. Towels are a good size and plush. In dire need of new paintwork, thorough cleaning and maintenance. The whole place feels grimy especially the carpet, the window latch is broken so the noise from outside seeps in, air cond is not cold enough and there are stains on the walls and in the toilet. Some weird details such as no latch on the bathroom door so it cannot close securely from inside the room, roller blinds instead of curtains (which is cut so narrowly it just barely covers both sides of the window). It is next to the train track and an elevated expressway so traffic noise in the middle of the night can be disturbing, particularly with a broken window latch. Not as near as expected to Taiping lake gardens; it's about 10 minutes drive. Wouldn't stay again since there are many other nearer, better hotels around.
De Parkview Hotel

A boutique hotel with good room rates. Room’s clean, has vinyl flooring and built-in carpentry is in rather good condition. Bed’s firm and basic toiletries are provided (toothbrush n paste, bath n shower). Clean bedlinens though the towel I had was old with few grey-black stains. Bathroom’s large but the water pressure is slightly Low (our room’s on the 1st level, with Recep at ground). There’s a dim sum restaurant just beside the hotel but we didn’t eat there. A larger food centre is just round the corner, 5-10mins wall away. Good and value for money place to stay even with no options for breakfast.
Chariton Hotel Ipoh

I recently stayed at this hotel and, while the staff were friendly and the overall cleanliness was good, I was very disappointed with the room’s sound insulation. I could hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Besides that the construction work was next to the hotel. For light sleepers like me, this was a major issue. Unfortunately, this significantly impacted my overall experience, and I would not recommend this hotel unless they improve their soundproofing.
Brezza Hotel Sitiawan

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds & pillows, white towels quite thick for a budget hotel, strong water pressure, reliable hot water, quiet surrounding, has a good drinking water machine where we can refill our tumblers. Has a clothes line in the bathroom. Room door uses sensor key. Can control room air cond temperature. Cons: When someone in the next room showers, the noise of the water is very loud. Shower area not separated from toilet area so the floor gets wet but luckily the bathroom is large so there is still a small area that does not get wet. No lift. Only street parking where you have to pay. Security not good enough. Anyone can enter & go up to the rooms. The receptionist won't know unless they stand up as they sit behind a high counter.
French Hotel

Stay here, don't look at the hotel facade, they have great rooms and very clean. The hotel is just 10 minutes flat walk from Ipoh train station, although it is in the residential area but all the intersting place are within walking distance such as Concubine lane just five minutes walk, the night market just five minutes walk, the memory lane was behind the hotel. The lobby is always locked and you feel secure. You need your keycard to access the lobby and lift. There are few sitting area in lobby but enough space. The second floor are breakfast area. The room was clean, and bright as there are lights everywhere. There is complimentary coffee and tea, fridge and safety box. The bathroom is quite big and the water power was strong with hot water run constantly. There is not place to eat surrounding the hotel area except KFC and Pizza Hut at the left side of hotel (2 minutes walk). If you walk across the street from the lobby into a small lane, you will reach a traditional kopitiam that have plenty of choice to eat, they start at 6 morning until night. The kopitiam has dim sum, seafood noodles, char kue tiau, popiah (night time). Minimarket 7 Eleven just beside the hotel. Considering the affordable price and very centrally located, this hotel is the best option to stay in Ipoh.

Thank you for hosting our business trip to Kolej Vokasional Seri Iskandar from 13th to 18th Oct 2023. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the quality of service that your hotel provides. We are pleased with the hotel accommodations, as they are generally clean, tastefully furnished and well maintained. Our participants enjoyed the buffet meal very much. There is a wide variety to choose from and the quantity provided is always sufficient and timely replenished. Your chefs’ culinary skills are obvious judging from the positive feedback we received from the campers. The dining area is spacious, well lit and hygienic. Most importantly, we are delighted by the readiness and the responsiveness of your staffs. They are always willing to accommodate whatever request we put forward. Such positive service attitude is highly commendable.

Food is fabulous surrounding this neat & well maintained hotel. Staffs & Management was very courteous, friendly and hospitable. There is a 7-11 just a few steps away from this property with many ammeneties and personal items jyst in case you need. Not to mention the convenience of drinks, smokes & snacks if you need it midnight. Parking is very convenient right in front of the Hotel but municiple attendents starts summoning cars after 8am if you forget to pay for the Parking fees... Other than that, i will definitely choose This Hotel again Whenever i visit Ipoh city... Ohhh btw, there is a Nanyang Village Restaurant just opposite Lotus Mall nearby the hotel...food is fabulous and lobing owners Jim & Amy are very good chefs preparing such GOOD Breakfast & lunch... Hotel Vistana Micassa

We stayed here for 2 nights for an event. I loved the location, very near to walkable convenience stores, local eateries for day and night, night market, morning market and the Taiping Lake Garden. There are a few private parking lots in the hotel. Rooms are basic, TV was not working during our stay there and no breakfast provided as it's a small hotel.

The towel is a bit old but still ok. The location is good and the place is relatively clean by Malaysia standards. Everything in the room is functioning. Portable water (hot, warm& cold)is provided. It's good value for money.
