The bed is very comfortable, we slept like logs, the embankment is 25 minutes walk away, 5 minutes by taxi, a good breakfast, a choice of a burger with egg, bacon and fries, or pancakes with jam, or soup, or cereal with yogurt
Towels were given upon check-in, a hairdryer upon request, luggage is stored in the storage room for free 😁
There is no table in the room, just three ottomans, I ordered two separate beds, they gave me one, I had to go and sort it out, after a day on the road
.
The hostel itself is stylishly designed with modern amenities and cozy communal areas where I could relax and socialize with fellow travelers. The rooms were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city.
One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views of Cape Town and the perfect spot to unwind with a drink while watching the sunset.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I really liked the receptionist. He was very helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was enjoyable. The one issue I had with this hotel, is the bathroom. There was only a sliding door, and it only allowed privacy for the toilet and the sink. The shower was open to the entire room. It is therefore impossible to take a shower and have privacy if you’re not alone.
Booking in was efficient, the room was clean and comfortable.
Unfortunately there is no access to the 1st floor other than the stairs which we didn't know but were able to manage . Could be a problem for thise unable to do stairs .
Would have been nice to have a shuttle to the airport as well but we were advised of transport to book which worked well.

I didn't like that the room didn't have a bathroom. The bathroom is to be shared. For a little extra, you can have a bathroom and better location at 82 on Regent. Motown is okay if you enjoy sharing bathrooms with strangers. Due to the concerts at the time in Cape Town, most places were sold out which is how we landed up at Motown.

I can't say it was a great experience. The room is very small and close. No dishes and dining facilities, no shower facilities. Very noisy, often heard the rumbling of neighbors. Excellent WI-FI, good location and bedding.

ZZhangmingruThe location is excellent in Cape. It is close to the long street and large supermarkets, so you don't have to walk. There is a bar downstairs. Although it is noisy, it is very safe. The service is very enthusiastic. Everyone is very enthusiastic. It is a good choice for me who is not very good at English. It is also very clean. The girl at the front desk enthusiastically guided me how to play in Zhoushan and Mong Kok. She was not tired of it. I stayed in this hotel for six nights and felt very happy and made a lot of friends. 🥳

AABeckyJoe was the best concierge I’ve ever experienced. He was extremely helpful, punctual and professional. Every issue was resolved in a timely manner and assistance was available 24/7.
