Obidos Villas

The hotel parking lot is very small (only 7-8 parking spaces on the roadside, coordinates 39.363078, -9.156986), parking is difficult. Please contact the hotel before departure to confirm the route to the city, so as not to catch it. For our stay in April 2019, only the Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça gate can enter the city, then turn right, follow the R. do Cel. Pacheco road to the top and then turn right, continue for 50 meters until There is a parking space under the castle. The front desk is in the garden at the end of the road. There are signs that can't go wrong. When leaving the city, first return to the entrance of Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça, then turn right (Graça gate can only enter the city, can not leave the city), south of the city wall all the way to the Portal de Óbidos gate (the gate Can only go out of town, can not enter the city), and then out of the city. There may be many steps from the parking space to the hotel room. It is recommended that older or infirm people arrange the front desk baggage helper (please pay the appropriate tip. For reference, if we have two large luggage, we will pay a 5 Euro tip). The 24-hour front desk staff is warm, professional and satisfied. The interior facilities of the room are in line with the website description and are comfortable. Satisfied with the waiter cleaning, emptying the trash, changing towels and making the bed in the daily room. The shower hot water is very good, no worries. No slippers in the room, please bring your own. The hotel restaurant view and service are very good. Rich breakfast and high quality. Beautiful dinner. The lounge is very comfortable and don't forget to enjoy it. There is a hidden door in the restaurant that leads directly to the top of the castle, so you can climb the high view and not miss it. Before the arrival of the early morning tide of Obidus and the retreat of the evening crowd, the light is soft, quiet and full of the original taste of the ancient city, which is worthy of sweeping the street. The inner city is not big, there are only three main streets in the north-south direction, and it takes only 1-1.5 hours to walk around.

They placed me in a different room than the contract (I booked a superior room with balcony and I was placed in a room without balcony, 20 euros cheaper). I found that attitude wrong. The hotel is good, a good breakfast.

A lovingly decorated Hotel in the beautiful old town of Obidos. We visited when the renaissane fair was in town, which led to a great atmosphere in the historic city. The common and private rooms are kept in a medieval-ish style but sport all the modern amenities you could need. The breakfast is well prepared and deliccious and the pool a welcome addition in the hot summer months. There is not too much to visit nearby beside the beautiful old town, but that can easily fill multiple awe-inspiring days. There are multiple restaurants and bars in Obidos that i well recommend. Der Pool ist eine willkommene Abkühlung i n den heißen Sommermonaten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es in der Stadt einen großen Mittelaltermarkt, was ein sehr schönes Erlebnis war. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es nicht allzuviele Sehenswürdigkeiten, mit Ausnahme der Altstadt von Obidos. Und diese ist wunderschön, beeindruckend historisch und mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars ausgestattet, so dass man ohne Probleme einige tage hier verbringen kann. It is a fascinating hotel. Friendly staff, superb restaurant and absolutely out of the ordinary interior design. We will return.

This is a hotel slightly away from the walled town of Obidos, which we thought was a good thing. It is quite, with lots of parking. reception is wide and there is a big bar and restaurant. Our room was on the ground floor and would have had a view of the Pool, which in one way would be lovely in the summer, however you wouldn't be able to have the curtains open. The room was big enough for 1 night with a lot of Wardrobe space. What was a bit off putting was the fact that bathroom had frosted class walls, which is not great when travelling with friends. The Towels were lovely and big and the beds were comfortable enough - only 1 pillow, so you would need to ask for 2nd as we could only see 1 extra in the wardrobe. We had breakfast included - which was a buffet style, lots of cake! and warm milk for the coffee (which was great) If i was in the area, I would stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived by hire car, the access to the hotel from the main routes was easy and there are some parking spots reserved for guests right outside the hotel, otherwise there seems to be plentiful parking at the back of the hotel (we did not need to use this as we were always able to get a parking space out the front). The hotel is located just outside of the walls of the old town of Obidos with very easy access to the old town and all that is has to offer - there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute stroll of the hotel. The hotel itself is quite comfortable - good buffet breakfast, nice comfy beds, good water pressure in the shower. We did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast. It is also very easy to visit places such as Peniche and Nazaré from here. I would stay here again were I to return to Obidos.
